Minecraft: Essential Handbook is a guide to various Minecraft:Minecraft mechanics and techniques written by Minecraft:Stephanie Milton with help by Minecraft:Paul Soares Jr. and Jordan Maron ("CaptainSparklez") and first published in the United States by Scholastic on November 26, 2013,<ref name="First US">Template:Citation</ref> and in the United Kingdom by Egmont Books as Minecraft: Beginner's Handbook that same year.<ref name="First UK">Template:Citation</ref> This was among the first books released for the game and also features an exclusive interview between Minecraft:Jens Bergensten and Minecraft:Markus Persson.

An Updated Edition was released on July 28, 2015, which added information pertaining to the Minecraft:Bountiful Update.<ref name="2nd US>Template:Citation</ref><ref name="2nd UK">Template:Citation (Updated Edition)</ref>
