Fancy
Classic fancy, great for most devices
Classic Minecraft graphics, equivalent to Fabulous!Template:In. This uses the same set of settings as Simple.

Advanced real-time lighting and reflections

Brightness
50%
If your screen is still too dark, change the settings on your device, TV, or monitor

Framerate Limit
Unlimited
Set a limit for maximum frames per second to keep a steady frame rate or prevent overheating your device
Limits how many frames the game can render per second. Slider can be set between 30 and 60 FPS with steps of 5, or Unlimited.
Anti-Aliasing

Not a trick question. How smooth do you like your blocks?
Adjusts the amount of multisample anti aliasing, which smooths the image and removes jagged edges. Available options are powers of 2 between 1 and 16. Not available on mobile devices.
Better transitions for natural looking shadows and brightness
Toggles Minecraft:smooth lighting. Lighting is smoothed across the blocks with ambient occlusion. This setting does not change the gameplay in any way, but it has a slight effect on performance.
27 chunks (recommended)<ref name="varies" group="note">Default on most Windows devices, varies depending on the device specifications.</ref>
Adjust the distance at which detail is rendered. A high render distance could impact performance This high render distance could cause a low frame rate, crashes, or other unexpected behavior<ref group="note">Replaces description if set above recommended value.</ref>
The render distance controls how many chunks of the world are visible at once. The fewer chunks that are included, the faster each frame can be rendered, resulting in higher frames per second (FPS). This also affects the render distance of foliage such as transparent leaves, crops and animated textures. Available in 2-10 sections on the slider, ranging from 5-96 chunks maximum (depending on the device). The most distant terrain is faded by Minecraft:fog, to avoid a sharp edge to the visible world. This slider is only available when the graphics mode is set to "Simple" or "Fancy".
The maximum render distance available on the slider depends on the device.
12, 27, 50, or 96<ref name="render distance" group="note">Varies depending on the device specifications. However, this can be bypassed by adjusting Template:Cd in Minecraft:options.txt</ref>

Custom
Your preferences, as you wish
Vibrant Visuals settings are individually set to custom values in the menu below.

Make Minecraft brighter and easier to see
Opens a menu with a slider to adjust the gamma (brightness). The menu shows 3 Minecraft:creeper faces which are affected by the gamma slider. Changes the resolution, quality, and render distance of shadows created by point light effects. Can be set to "Off", "Low", "Medium", "High", and "Ultra".
This can be changed to any value in Minecraft:options.txt. Values below 8 chunks will result in chunks at higher distances not initially loading, but the chunks will not be unloaded until the distance is higher than 8 chunks. Values above 24 chunks will result in the game actually rendering this distance up to 128 chunks away from the player.
