Minecraft:Blackstone

Template:For Template:Infobox block Blackstone is a dark-colored Minecraft:block that functions similar to Minecraft:cobblestone or cobbled deepslate. It can be found only in Minecraft:the Nether.

Natural generation

Blackstone generates naturally in Minecraft:the Nether, particularly in the basalt deltas biome, below the surface of a lava sea, and anywhere underground.

Blackstone can be found as a part of bastion remnants.

Ore blobs of blackstone attempt to replace Minecraft:netherrack 2 times per chunk in blobs of size 0 to 160, from levels 5 to 31Template:Only/36Template:Only, in all Nether biomes except basalt deltas.

Template:IN, blackstones also generate in big blobs, which attempt to replace Minecraft:netherrack 25 times per chunk in blobs of radius 3—7, from Y-levels 0 to 127, in the basalt deltas biome.

Bartering

Minecraft:Piglins may barter 8-16 blocks of blackstone with a chance of ~8.53% (Template:Frac) when given a gold ingot.

Usage

Blackstone can be used as a substitute for Minecraft:cobblestone in Minecraft:the Nether as it can be used to craft stone Minecraft:tools, brewing stands, and Minecraft:furnaces. It can also be used to repair stone tools using an Minecraft:anvil. It can also be used to craft polished blackstone.

Blackstone cannot be used to craft Minecraft:dispensers, Minecraft:droppers, Minecraft:pistons, or other Minecraft:blocks that use cobblestone in their recipes.<ref>Template:Bug</ref>

Note blocks

Blackstone can be placed under note blocks to produce "bass drum" sounds.

Blackstone is one of the repair items for the stone tier and thus can be used to repair the following items in an Minecraft:anvil:

Sulfur cube

Template:In development Sulfur cubes have the ability to absorb blackstone, either through picking it up or being interacted with it. This provides the regular/football effect to the mob when hitting it.
