The following text is transcribed from the Journal.

There was magic once, in this bow, though it has mostly faded now. Runes were ground down and mixed with plant oils to create a special resin that allowed the Dragonwilds:Wild Knights to work their magic through the bow, as if they were carrying runes. That magic has faded and the recipe for the mixture is lost to the ages, but these bows are still formidable in their own right.

Wild Knights told tales of creatures that lived within the wilds of Dragonwilds:Ashenfall and that could not be felled by normal bows. Deer with hides that glistened with starlight, sheep with silver fleeces repelled all arrows. They claimed that these magically infused bows were the only ones capable of harming the creatures, though none ever returned with trophies to share.
