The Ender Cup is a special edition of Minecraft:MC Championship organized in collaboration with Minecraft:Mojang Studios as part of Minecraft's Minecraft:15th anniversary. It took place on July 27, 2024, 17:00 UTC.<ref>Template:Mcnet</ref><ref name="announcement-july">Template:Mcnet</ref>

The event was streamed by contestants on their respective platforms and broadcasted on the official Minecraft Minecraft:Twitch and Minecraft:YouTube channels, with ChelseaBytes and Jvckk as the hosts.<ref>Template:Tweet</ref>

This edition of MC Championship consists of 8 games themed around different Minecraft updates to celebrate its 15th anniversary and a final. The winners receive a unique, physical trophy of the Ender Cup for the event.<ref>Template:Tweet</ref>

Sky Battle

Sky Battle is a team-based Battle Royale game mode where the last team standing wins, but on islands flying above the Minecraft:void. Players must build bridges to move around the map and find loot in chests scattered the map.

For the Ender Cup, Sky Battle map was called "Coral" and were themed around the Minecraft:Update Aquatic (1.13) and the Minecraft:Village & Pillage (1.14) update, with the map being based on Minecraft:oceans, Minecraft:villages, and Minecraft:pillager outposts.<ref>Sky Battle | MCC</ref> Unlike most other MCC events, Sky Battle uses Minecraft:tridents as the main starter weapon.

Survival Games

Survival Games is a team-based Battle Royale game mode where the last team standing wins. Players must find loot (such as Minecraft:weapons, Minecraft:food and Minecraft:armor) in chests hidden across the map. As the timer counts down, the Minecraft:world border progressively converge towards the center of the map. Players will earn coins by killing other players or mining airdrop crates.

For the Ender Cup, Survival Games map was called "Biomefield" and were themed around 1.0.0, the first full version of the game. Thus, it focuses on some structures such as Minecraft:desert temples and Minecraft:villages, and some biomes such as Minecraft:the End.<ref>Survival Games | MCC</ref>

Parkour Warrior

Parkour Warrior consists of a parkour race composed of different leaps. Each leap must be completed before the timer runs out, or the player starts taking damage. Once the player's health reaches zero, they are out.

For the Ender Cup, Parkour Warrior were themed around the Alpha and Beta development cycles of Minecraft.<ref>Parkour Warrior | MCC</ref>

Ace Race

Ace Race consists of a multi-lap race relying on mechanics such as jump pads, Minecraft:tridents enchanted with Minecraft:Riptide, Minecraft:gliding, and Minecraft:swimming. Traps and shortcuts are scattered across the track.

For the Ender Cup, Ace Race map was called "Dark Descent" and were themed around the Minecraft:Caves and Cliffs (1.17-1.18) and Minecraft:The Wild Update (1.19), as it features Minecraft:mountains, Minecraft:cheese caves, Minecraft:lush caves and an Minecraft:ancient city.<ref>Ace Race | MCC</ref>

Meltdown

Meltdown is a PVP game set in a labyrinth where are scattered crates of coins. Players have bows that freeze their enemies once hit. Once a player is frozen, they are stuck in an ice block until a teammate uses a heater near them. Meanwhile, the labyrinth melts, pushing players closer and closer to the center.

For the Ender Cup, Meltdown map was called "Bastion" and were themed around the Minecraft:Nether Update (1.16).<ref>Meltdown | MCC</ref>

Hole in the Wall

In Hole in the Wall, players must stay on a platform by dodging moving walls made out of Minecraft:slime blocks. As the game progresses, the platform shrinks. Players gets coins whenever another player dies before them, and if they finish in the top 3. It consists of 3 rounds.

For the Ender Cup, Hole in the Wall map was called "Ocean Monument" and were themed around the Minecraft:Bountiful Update (1.8) as it features slime blocks and is taken place in an Minecraft:ocean monument.<ref>Hole in the Wall | MCC</ref>

To Get to the Other Side

To Get to the Other Side (most commonly referred to as TGTTOS) consists of a race in which players can punch each other to deal knockback and must hit a Minecraft:chicken to complete the race and win coins. Because there are fewer chickens than players, players must help their teammates to get more coins.

For the Ender Cup, TGTTOS maps consists of 6 rounds, called "Spectrum", "Shallow Water", "Mansion", "Ice Walker", "Maze", and "Shulker", and were themed around the Minecraft:Combat Update (1.9), the Minecraft:Frostburn Update (1.10), the Minecraft:Exploration Update (1.11), and the Minecraft:World of Color Update (1.12).<ref name=TGTTOS>To Get to the Other Side | MCC</ref>

Grid Runners

Grid Runners is a game first featured during Minecraft:MINECON Earth 2018<ref>Template:Ytl</ref> which consists of a puzzle race. Each team must complete a same series of 8 rooms featuring different challenges such as puzzles, shooting galleries and crafting challenges. Coins are awarded based on the ranking of each team for each individual room as well as the overall ranking.

For the Ender Cup, Grid Runners were themed around Minecraft:The Update that Changed the World (1.7.2).<ref>Grid Runners | MCC</ref>

Dodgebolt

Dodgebolt is the final game of Minecraft:MC Championship events. It is played between the two teams having scored the most points during the 8 main games to determine the event's winner. Inspired by the real life game of Dodgeball, contestants are given a Minecraft:bow and an Minecraft:arrow and must defeat the other team in a best-of-five match.<ref>Dodgebolt | MCC</ref>

For the Ender Cup, Dodgebolt were themed around the Ender Cup itself.

Trivia

  • Noxcrew refers to the Minecraft:Combat Update as the "End Update" on the Ender Cup website.<ref name=TGTTOS/>
  • During the timeline sequence before the Dodgebolt game, several previously unnamed updates were given names, including "The Jungle Update" for 1.2 and "The Villager Trading Update" for 1.3.
  • The Ender Cup intro music plays the same music as the Minecraft:MCC x Minecraft 15th Anniversary Party hub music called "Orienteering".
    • This is now later used regularly in the next MCC events and on MCC Island minigame server.
    • This was eventually released as a part of the MC Championship 2025 (Original Game Soundtrack) album on September 12, 2025.
  • The Ace Race "Dark Descent" map uses the seed Template:Cd as the base for the map.<ref>Template:Tweet</ref><ref>Template:Tweet</ref>
  • During the Minecraft timeline sequence before the Dodgebolt game, a Jellie Minecraft:cat appears at the 1.14 builds, as a tribute after Jellie's passing.
