Minecraft:Java Edition 1.16 Pre-release 6

1.16 Pre-release 6 (known as 1.16-pre6 in the Minecraft:launcher) is the sixth pre-release for Minecraft:Java Edition 1.16, released on June 15, 2020,<ref>Template:Mcnet</ref> which adds new material and map colors and fixes bugs.

Minecraft:Advancements

• Added player_interacted_with_entity advancement trigger.
  • item matches the item which was in the player's hand during interaction.
  • entity matches the entity which was interacted with.

Minecraft:Materials

• Added seven new material colors:
  • Template:Color CRIMSON_NYLIUM
  • Template:Color CRIMSON_STEM
  • Template:Color CRIMSON_HYPHAE
  • Template:Color WARPED_NYLIUM
  • Template:Color WARPED_STEM
  • Template:Color WARPED_HYPHAE

Changes

Mobs

Minecraft:Hoglins and Minecraft:zoglins

• Each tusk can now be individually textured.
• Knockback resistance has been increased from 0.5 to 0.6.

Minecraft:Piglins

• Can now spawn with enchanted Minecraft:armor.

Minecraft:Ravagers

• Now have their knockback resistance increased.

Minecraft:Zombified piglins

• Changed the subtitle for angry grunts from "Zombified Piglin angers" to "Zombified Piglin grunts angrily".

World generation

Minecraft:Zombie villages

• The zombie villagers that spawn in zombie Minecraft:villages no longer despawn.

Gameplay

Minecraft:Advancements

• The advancement "Oh Shiny" is now also earned when a gold-related item is Template:Ctrl on a piglin, whereas previously it would only be earned when a piglin picks it up.

Minecraft:Map colors

• With the addition of new material colors, map colors have been updated accordingly.
  • Warped stems, stripped warped stems, and warped planks now use the WARPED_STEM color instead of the COLOR_CYAN color.
  • Warped hyphae and stripped warped hyphae now use the WARPED_HYPHAE color instead of the COLOR_CYAN color.
  • Warped nylium now uses the WARPED_NYLIUM color instead of the COLOR_CYAN color.
  • Warped fungi and twisting vines now use the COLOR_CYAN color instead of the PLANT color.
  • Warped wart blocks now use the WARPED_WART_BLOCK color instead of the COLOR_CYAN color.
  • Crimson stems and stripped crimson stems now use the CRIMSON_STEM color instead of the COLOR_RED color.
  • Crimson hyphae and stripped crimson hyphae now use the CRIMSON_HYPHAE color instead of the COLOR_RED color.
  • Crimson nylium now uses the CRIMSON_NYLIUM color instead of the COLOR_RED color.
  • Crimson fungi and weeping vines now use the NETHER color instead of the PLANT color.
  • Crimson planks now use the CRIMSON_STEM color instead of the NETHER color.

General

Minecraft:Game mode switcher

• Opening the game mode switcher menu now has a default selection if the player has not entered a different game mode before in that world.
  • By default, the player now selects Creative if currently in any other game mode, and Survival if currently in Creative.

Minecraft:Recipe book

• There is now a text that says "Search..." in the recipe book.
