This guide is a simplified overview of all the changes in the Template:JE Beta 1.6.x releases, which assumes at least some familiarity with Beta 1.5.x releases.

Blocks

Minecraft:Dead Bush	File:Dead Bush JE1 BE1.png	Generates naturally on sand in Minecraft:deserts.	Any	A decorative block.
Grass	File:Grass JE3.png	Generates naturally on grass blocks. Can be created by applying Minecraft:bone meal to grass blocks.	Any	Sometimes drop Minecraft:wheat seeds when broken.
Minecraft:Fern	File:Fern JE5.png	Generates naturally on grass blocks in certain biomes. Can be created by applying bone meal to grass blocks in certain biomes.	Any	Sometimes drop wheat seeds when broken.
Minecraft:Trapdoor	File:Oak Trapdoor (D) JE1 BE1.png		Axe	Opens and closes when right-clicked.

Changed

Minecraft:Mushrooms	Template:Animate	Can now spread.
Minecraft:Fire	File:Fire JE1.png	Spreads much more slowly and no longer spreads infinitely.
Minecraft:Glowstone	File:Glowstone JE1.png	New crafting recipe: Template:Crafting Each glowstone block now drops 2-4 glowstone dust when broken.
Minecraft:Bed	File:Red Bed (N) JE1.png	Now explodes if used in the nether.
Minecraft:Wool	File:White Wool JE1 BE1.png	New crafting recipe:
