Template:Short description Template:Infobox Organization New United is one of the StarCitizen:United Empire of Earth's oldest news organizations, having been founded in StarCitizen:2100 it had a reputation for being mostly objective with a slight conservative bias.
History
It was originally named United Times which was later changed to United Times/Tribune in StarCitizen:2438 during a merger with StarCitizen:Sentinel Tribune<ref>Template:Cite RSI</ref> and was then shortened in StarCitizen:2638 to Times/Tribune. During the StarCitizen:Messer Era they operated as a propaganda outfit and in an effort to distance themselves for the oppressive regime after it fell in StarCitizen:2792 they changed their name to New United. Which has lead to them regaining their reputation as an objective news source.<ref>Template:Cite RSI</ref>

BiotiCorp Confirms Mass Regen Failure
Imprints no longer viable for majority of population - In a press conference today, representatives from StarCitizen:BiotiCorp announced that StarCitizen:Regeneration is failing at an alarming rate. "In spite of BiotiCorp's historic track record of successful Regeneration in 99% of cases, we can confirm that due to unknown factors, the process has recently begun to fail the majority of the time. While we investigate the issue, customers are advised to be extra cautious, but please be assured that we have our best minds working on resolving the problem." The people of StarCitizen:Terra suspected that something was amiss after an explosion rocked downtown StarCitizen:New Austin last month and a shocking number of imprinted people failed to regenerate. Mirabelle Niven, a retired schoolteacher, lost her twin sons Auros and Delemont Niven in the blast. "We spent so much time getting Imprints. The rep promised us it would work, so we were sure it was worth it. And now my boys are dead."

UEE Resource Drive Spurs Regen Research
Corporations eager to aid Imperator Addison's Second Life Initiative.
As research spending skyrockets across the empire in the wake of the government's Second Life initiative, materials have become increasingly difficult for labs and scientists to access. With the shortage potentially harming the race to solve the Regen Crisis, the UEE has announced a sponsored 'resource drive' to encourage donations of the much sought-after supplies. As part of the effort, the government will be offering several rewards to systems who achieve donation quotas such as tax-breaks and sponsorship opportunities at gateway stations.
Organizations from Terra to Castra have signed on to participate, but many expect that the largest donations will come from the four major corporations in the Stanton system who have pledged to support the effort, offering their own internal incentives to contractors who help them secure the top-spot in the drive. Those interested in tracking the results will be able to use their mobiGlas to access real-time standings of the amounts of refined Copper, Tungsten, and Corundum that have been delivered by participants. Government representatives hope the boost in materials will accelerate an end to the StarCitizen:Regen Crisis.
ASD Denies Wrongdoing in Pyro
Revelations of animal cruelty have many demanding answers from the research company.
As recordings of living StarCitizen:valakkar eggs being tortured on StarCitizen:Pyro I at Associated Science & Development's (ASD) Lazarus Complex surfaced last month, many across the Empire are calling for a deeper investigation into the company's practices. Leading the charge is animal rights group PAW (Preserve All Wildlife) who have been actively protesting multiple ASD sites for what they've called "unconscionable cruelty."
Not the first controversy ASD has dealt with, the company had previously gained notoriety from the brutality of their StarCitizen:EE6 electron cannon. An ASD spokesperson claims that the Chief Scientist heading the research, Dr. StarCitizen:Logan Jorrit, was exploring a potential solution for the regen crisis but was also quick to explain that since the lab was located in the unregulated Pyro system, they are technically operating outside of UEE law. An official release from ASD's board announced that Dr. Jorrit had been placed on temporary administrative leave while the company performs an internal investigation on the lab's activities.
Record Number of Mercenary Contracts Completed

In a press release, the Mercenary Guild has stated, "Thanks to the highly skilled professionals of the Mercenary Guild working tirelessly to secure and defend our clients, we have set a new record for contracts completed in June." However, not everyone sees the high number as something to be celebrated. Centralist party spokesperson StarCitizen:Acka Newton has pointed out that the high completion rate aligns with growing crime numbers across the Empire, "This record was only possible because the current administration has completely failed at keeping the people of the UEE safe."

Empire Desperate for First Responders
More ambulance pilots are urgently needed across all systems.
As the Regen Crisis continues, the importance of first responders to provide emergency medical care is more important than ever before. Unfortunately, with the number of qualified ambulance pilots at an all-time low and preventable deaths on the rise, victims will often wait for help that will arrive too late.
StarCitizen:Rapid Response, one of the leading EMS contractors, has said that the emergence of regeneration technology triggered a decline of trained professionals and that it will take time to regrow the pool of qualified pilots. The UEE has recently announced a new initiative in conjunction with RSI that has Apollo ships visiting schools as a way to entice young pilots to enter the field and become paramedics.

The 'One Life' organization continues to picket the hospital, demanding they stop all regeneration.

Deadly “Molina Mold” contaminates Levski Station in Nyx system
Following weeks of reports of a new unknown illness afflicting the residents of StarCitizen:Levski, the source has been confirmed as a new species of mold whose airborne spores cause potentially fatal fungal infections in Humans. The source of the mold growth was traced back to recently installed ventilation filters from manufacturer StarCitizen:Gyson Inc. that were revealed to be faulty. Named “StarCitizen:Molina Mold” after the first person to be killed by the ailment, it has since filled clinics and hospitals in the Nyx system with people experiencing symptoms. While the People's Alliance is working with the UEE-based “StarCitizen:Alliance Aid” relief group to replace the filters and distribute treatment, residents and visitors alike are being strongly advised to avoid areas in Levski experiencing mold growth.
