Minecraft:Minecon 2018 New Entity Sample

Minecon 2018 New Entity Sample is an official Minecraft:add-on sample to show the capabilities of adding custom entities without replacing the existing ones. This add-on was showcased on Minecraft:MINECON Earth 2018.

Mobs

  • A passive mob similar to Minecraft:chickens but with two textures, one for its baby form and another for adult.
  • Instead of being fed and bred with Minecraft:seeds, it uses Minecraft:bread.

  • A mob that lives in Minecraft:deserts.
  • It can have different sizes.
  • It is neutral.

  • A faster variant of skeletons.
  • When the player is far the skeletaur shoots arrows like a regular Minecraft:skeleton. When the player gets close, it kicks the player.
• File:Minecon Spider Illager.png Spider Illager
  • An illager similar to the Minecraft:evoker but instead of summoning Minecraft:vexes or Minecraft:evoker fangs, it summons vile spiders.
  • Affected by the Minecraft:Bane of Arthropods.

  • A smaller variant of Minecraft:spiders that can only be spawned by the spider illager,
  • It inflicts Minecraft:Poison when it attacks.
  • It makes a unique particle effect when walking.

Trivia

• Ducks were later added to Template:MCD as a cosmetic pet.
• Skeletaurs seem to have a bug that occasionally made their bow glow or simply not render properly.
• Scorpions would later reappear in an unreleased adventure map, demonstrated at Minecraft:Minecraft Live 2020.<ref>Template:YouTube link</ref>
