Minecraft:Modified Jungle
More actions
Template:UnobtainableTemplate:Removed feature Template:Infobox biome The modified jungle or jungle mutated is a rare variant of the Minecraft:jungle that no longer generates since Minecraft:Caves & Cliffs: Part II, and was removed in Java Edition.
Description
Old
The modified jungle featured much more mountainous terrain, being taller and steeper than jungle hills. Overhangs, ravines, floating islands, and large cliffs were very common here. The heights, combined with the thick foliage, rendered the ground below almost entirely out of sight. The folliage was similar to the jungle biome. Ocelots, parrots, and pandas spawned in this biome, but jungle pyramids didn't generate here.
Current
Template:IN, bamboo jungle hills in older worlds still received updates. When generated through Minecraft:single biome or Minecraft:behavior packs, they can also generate new blocks.
They appear similar to the current jungle, spawning warm animal variants. Minecraft:Trail ruins and jungle pyramids still do not generate.
With Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals, modified jungles use a strong humid volumetric fog setting, which fades the distance in an orange tint. Modified jungles use warmish and color grading, which makes the biome look more humid and warm. The night sky is slightly brighter and moonlight colored more vibrant blue.
Mobs
Template:IN, modified jungles used the same mob spawning chances as jungle hills for hostile and ambient categories, and had different chances for passive categories, while Template:In, modified jungles use the same mob spawning chances as jungles.
The following mobs naturally spawn here:
