The lush caves is a temperate cave biome with unique fauna and flora found underground below humid biomes, indicated above ground by Minecraft:azalea trees. Exclusive mobs, such as Minecraft:axolotls, Minecraft:glow squid, and Minecraft:tropical fish can spawn here.

Generation
Generation
Lush caves generate underground at any altitude, underneath biomes with high humidity values (≥ 0.7). This makes them most commonly found beneath dark forests, jungles, old growth taigas, wooded badlands, and taigas at temperatures of -0.450 and below, but may also generate under windswept forests, mangrove swamps, birch forests, taigas at temperatures of -0.150 to -0.450 and snowy taigas. Dark forests, old growth taigas, bamboo jungles, wooded badlands, and taigas at temperatures of -0.450 and below are almost guaranteed to have lush caves generate below them, but when these biomes generate far inland, dripstone caves may generate underneath them instead.
Lush caves generate underground at any altitude and temperature, underneath biomes with high Minecraft:humidity values (≥ 0.7). This makes them most commonly found beneath Minecraft:dark forests, Minecraft:jungles, Minecraft:old growth taigas, Minecraft:wooded badlands, and Minecraft:taigas within frozen biomes.

It is not possible for lush caves to generate beneath forests and grassland biomes like plains and savanna as they are not humid enough.
Less commonly, they generate under Minecraft:windswept forests, Minecraft:mangrove swamps, Minecraft:birch forests, other taigas, and Minecraft:snowy taigas. When these biomes generate far inland, however, Minecraft:dripstone caves may generate instead.

Lush caves can sometimes generate beneath oceans and deserts, whose generation is independent of humidity values. They are also the only underground biome capable of generating beneath oceans and mushroom fields.Chaos Cubed
It is not possible for lush caves to generate beneath Minecraft:forests and grassland biomes like Minecraft:plains and Minecraft:savanna as they are not humid enough.

Forests, flower forests, and cherry groves are the only forested biomes where lush caves do not generate at all, and deserts and oceans are the only non-forested biomes where lush caves can generate.

Description
Description
Azalea trees generate on any empty space above a lush cave, with roots consisting of rooted dirt and hanging roots that generate down until reaching the lush cave. This is most common at the surface, but they can sometimes generate inside Minecraft:caves if there is enough room.
Minecraft:Azalea trees generate on any empty space above a lush cave, with roots consisting of Minecraft:rooted dirt and Minecraft:hanging roots that generate down until reaching the lush cave. This is most common at the surface, but they can sometimes generate inside caves if there is enough room.

Underground, moss covers the floors and ceilings, along with Minecraft:moss carpets, Minecraft:short grass, Minecraft:tall grass, and Minecraft:azalea bushes on the ground. On the ceiling, Minecraft:vines and Minecraft:cave vines with Minecraft:glow berries grow down and light up the caves, and Minecraft:spore blossoms grow from the ceiling and fill the caves with Minecraft:particles.

Shallow lakes lined with Minecraft:clay generate between the moss on the ground, filled with Minecraft:dripleaf plants. Minecraft:Tropical fish and Minecraft:axolotls are unique to these pools, whereas common cave mobs like Minecraft:bats and Minecraft:glow squid can also spawn. While hostile mobs can spawn throughout the biome, many areas have a light level greater than 0 due to the pervasive Minecraft:glow berries.

Underground, moss and Minecraft:ores cover the floors and ceilings, along with moss carpets, grass, vegetation patches, and Minecraft:azalea bushes on the floors. On the ceiling, Minecraft:vines and cave vines with glow berries grow down and light up the caves, and spore blossoms grow from the ceiling and drip water particles. Dripleaf plants grow up from shallow lakes lined with Minecraft:clay, which sometimes generate dry. Water can also generate here in the form of springs. Asides from the regular underground structures that can generate in all biomes, woodland mansions rarely generate on the surface above lush caves be.
Minecraft:Stone and variants containing Minecraft:ores are sparsely exposed between the vegetation.

With Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals, lush caves biomes use a strong humid volumetric fog setting similar to jungles, which fades the distance in an orange tint. Lush caves have default atmospherics and lighting, and warmish color grading, which makes the biome look more humid and warm without strong effects at the surface.

Players cannot spawn in a lush caves biome during world generation.
In Bedrock Edition, lush caves are arid biomes with no Minecraft:rain and dry grass colors, although this is barely noticable underground.

Mobs
Mobs
Bats, glow squid, tropical fish, and axolotls are the only passive Minecraft:mobs that spawn, with the latter being exclusive to the biome. While hostile mobs can spawn throughout the biome, many areas have a light level greater than 0 due to the pervasive glow berries. Most hostile mobs are therefore found in large caverns more than 10 blocks high and near borders with other cave biomes.
The following mobs naturally spawn here:

Template:Infobox biome The lush caves is a temperate cave biome with unique fauna and flora found underground below humid biomes, indicated above ground by Minecraft:azalea trees. Exclusive mobs, such as Minecraft:axolotls, Minecraft:glow squid, and Minecraft:tropical fish can spawn here.

Generation

Lush caves generate underground at any altitude and temperature, underneath biomes with high Minecraft:humidity values (≥ 0.7). This makes them most commonly found beneath Minecraft:dark forests, Minecraft:jungles, Minecraft:old growth taigas, Minecraft:wooded badlands, and Minecraft:taigas within frozen biomes.

Less commonly, they generate under Minecraft:windswept forests, Minecraft:mangrove swamps, Minecraft:birch forests, other taigas, and Minecraft:snowy taigas. When these biomes generate far inland, however, Minecraft:dripstone caves may generate instead.

It is not possible for lush caves to generate beneath Minecraft:forests and grassland biomes like Minecraft:plains and Minecraft:savanna as they are not humid enough.

Lush caves can sometimes generate beneath Minecraft:oceans and Minecraft:deserts, whose generation is independent of humidity values.

Description

Minecraft:Stone and variants containing Minecraft:ores are sparsely exposed between the vegetation.

Asides from the regular underground Minecraft:structures that can generate in all biomes, Minecraft:woodland mansions rarely generate on the surface above lush caves Template:In.

In Bedrock Edition, lush caves are arid biomes with no Minecraft:rain and dry grass colors, although this is barely noticable underground.

With Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals, lush caves biomes use a strong humid volumetric fog setting similar to Minecraft:jungles, which fades the distance in an orange tint. Lush caves have default atmospherics and lighting, and warmish color grading, which makes the biome look more humid and warm, while also notably increasing the color contrast.

Mobs

The following mobs naturally spawn here:
