As Fuzan is a power level 7 entity, he can only be survived by players who are at least power level 7 or above.
As Fuzan is a Dragonwilds:power level 6 boss monster of Dragonwilds:Umbral Sands, he will be difficult to defeat without wearing power level 6 (first time) or higher gear (multiple encounters) and being prepared. It is also suggested that you gather enough sanguine urns so you have enough Dragonwilds:health to survive. It is also suggested that you place a lodestone at the entrance of the Dragonwilds:Fight Cave.

Fuzan is immune to Dragonwilds:Poison, Dragonwilds:Bleed and Dragonwilds:Burning effect, with resistance to fire damage. They have no weakness

Foods/Drinks
For your fight against Fuzan, may it be first or multiple encounters, you'll want the following suggested items in your key bind hotbar slot or inventory:

Inventory
* Dragonwilds:Stuffed Catfish which restored 200 health per consumption.
Players should have in their inventory the following:
** It is suggested to also have the Dragonwilds:Undead Delight which restores 180 health and grants the Dragonwilds:Sea Life perk, regenerating 3 health every second 1,200 second (20 minutes.)
*** If you wish not to grind for Undead Delight, Dragonwilds:Eggs Royale also grants the Dragonwilds:Sea Life perk and heals 120 health.

* Good Dragonwilds:food with combination Dragonwilds:perks and decent health
* Any Dragonwilds:Infusions that'll buff your combat style.
* Cooling infusion drinks
** Infusions do not stack, so pick one that reduces stamina on your combat style action, or dodging.
** Dragonwilds:Cooling ferocious infusions for melee fighters
*** Or you can drink the Dragonwilds:Pumpkin Spice Infusion for the Soul food perk, to have it and Sea Life active. (Soul Food perk will not stack if it is from another food.)
** Dragonwilds:Cooling relentless infusions for ranged fighters
* If you're trying the Fight Cave, it is recommended that you bring Dragonwilds:Strong Tea, as it restores your Dragonwilds:Stamina by 20.
** Dragonwilds:Cooling arcane infusions for magic fighters

* Dragonwilds:Air runes to cast Dragonwilds:Enchant Weapon: Air and Dragonwilds:Tempest Shield, respectively
Other Consumables and Ammunition
* Dragonwilds:Magical focus if using magic for attacking Fuzan
If fighting on hard difficulty, or wanting to speed up the fight in normal difficulty, it is advised to have these items:
* Runes to cast Dragonwilds:Spectral Arrows if using 2-handed Ranged attacks

* Plenty of Dragonwilds:law runes for Dragonwilds:lodestone teleportation to/from Fuzan's Tower
* Dragonwilds:Whetstone enhances any melee weapon held by two points for ten minutes.
** In addition, Dragonwilds:Lesser Attack Potion can be added for the Dragonwilds:Focused Strikes perk for ten minutes.
* Dragonwilds:Magical Focus enhances staff and wand damage output from spell attacks by 15% for ten minutes
** In addition, Dragonwilds:Lesser Magic Potion can be added to increase the chance of landing critical hits with combat spells by 25% for ten minutes.
* Dragonwilds:Antifire Potion to avoid taking the burning effect from his fire attacks

While Ranged has yet to have any items to buff it, it is suggested to have Enchanted adamant Bolts for a 15% chance to create a toxic burst, adamant Barbed Arrows to cause the Dragonwilds:bleed, Poisoned adamant Arrows or Dragonwilds:Enchanted Iron Bolts for a 15% chance to deal water magic damage.

Runes and Spells
Fuzan is weak to water attack and he is immune to Dragonwilds:Burning effect, so it is recommended to use water rune damage to do tons of critical damage.

You can also use spells to enhance your abilities against him.

* Dragonwilds:Surge would allow you to dodge attacks at a greater distance three times, costing no stamina.
* Dragonwilds:Tempest Shield for melee and crossbow users, as it blocks more variety of attacks, even unblockable ones.
* Dragonwilds:Enchant Weapon: Air to increase the attack speed and damage of your equipped melee weapon if using melee.
* Dragonwilds:Spectral Arrows increases their damage done and is worth maintaining over the course of the fight if using Dragonwilds:Ranged.

Dragonwilds:Internal Alchemy is optional to have, as it is able to refresh active food and drinks buffs, but only if you're willing to spend about 4-5 seconds of casting time, which can leave you open for attacks.

The basic preset is for casual players who are looking for a more basic set up, requiring less resources and materials. This set up will require a timely dodge, parry and attacks to avoid taking too much damage.
This preset are for players who are fighting Fuzan in normal difficulty, wanting a casual encounter or in Trial of Fuzan and take the fight slow. Note that this version of the fight cave only has 10 waves, so while it is not on the list, if you feel that you will need Strong Tea, it would be wise to take one.

This page is currently under construction to update it in meeting the Dragonwilds:Ascension Core upgrades and the new combat system when 1.0 is released

This is a strategy guide page on defeating Dragonwilds:Fuzan. Depending on your world's difficulty setting, please refer to the relevant strategy section.

Inventory Preparation

Note: the suggested items below are more for what it is recommended when you first encounter them in Dragonwilds:Icthlarin's Little Helper.

Foods/Drinks

For your fight against Fuzan, may it be first or multiple encounters, you'll want the following suggested items in your key bind hotbar slot or inventory:

Other Consumables and Ammunition

If fighting on hard difficulty, or wanting to speed up the fight in normal difficulty, it is advised to have these items:

Dragonwilds:Internal Alchemy is optional to have, as it is able to refresh active food and drinks buffs, but only if you're willing to spend about 4-5 seconds of casting time, which can leave you open for attacks.

Preset

The present below is a suggested look on what you can have on your key bind and inventory for quicker access. Strategy

Fuzan's main attacks are:

 • Claw sweep, where he raises his hand and slashes backwards for those close range.
 • Stomps, like Velgar and Imaru, where his stomp causes spikes of lava to launch towards you from the ground launching a lava fire imbued earth spike at you.
 • Lava Stomp, where he will use both hands to slam the ground and cause a pool of lava to over his feet to temporarily avoid close range attacks
 • Fire breath, Like Imaru, would breath fire across the entire arena.
 • Fire Rain, which he looks up in the sky and spits 4 fire around the arena, like Velgar's poison spits.

You will also want to pay attention to the heat meter, the Arena is always sunny, so the sun will be an something you want to avoid taking damage from as well.

Fuzan also has a total of 8 phases.

Phase 1

At the start, Fuzan will appear. Prior to him appearing, avoid standing on hot floor, the centre is the safest spot. Fuzan will start attacking the players using his main attacks. Once you bring his HP down enough, he'll start Phase 2 by breathing fire onto the ground, making the terrain deal fire damage and burn effect, and flies off into the air.

Phase 2

At the start of Phase 2, the arena will change scenery and Fuzan will be gone, where he'll summon several power level 6 KotHaar Thral, variants of the Dragonwilds:KotHaar-Hur and Dragonwilds:KotHaar-Ket. Once defeated, Fuzan will drop down in the centre of the arena, on impact an explosion of flames would spread for anyone who has not moved out of the way. Like Velgar, he will move to a different spot of the arena, knowing down a wall. He'll then start by breathing fire beneath him, once again making two section of the ground deal fire damage, and then use his fire rain ability. He will also combine his Stomp attack with Lava Stomp. At the end of this phase He'll fly up again and return to his original spot.

Phase 3

At the Start of this phase, he'll breath fire on the ground again once he lands, causing two section of the arena's ground to get hot. And he'll repeat his normal attack until he moves to Phase 4, breathing flames on the ground, and flying off.

Phase 4

At the start of this phase, you will once again have a scenery change, and one section of the ground will be hot and will start rotating counter-clockwise until Fuzan once again prepares to land in the centre of the arena. The safest location to be during the counter-clockwise part is in the middle, and running away when you see Fuzan ready to drop. Once he lands he will use his Stomps ability with all 4 legs, so be sure you time your dodges. Fuzan will then appear in a new part of the arena, and proceeds with his regular attacks. Be sure you pay attention to your heat meter also, find shades to avoid it from filling completely. At the end of this phase Fuzan will repeat his phase change mechanic.

Phase 5

At the start of this phase, the arena will go into a scenery change, and 4 Section of the arena's ground will get hot once again, and two Thrals will appear. Defeating them will have Fuzan land in the centre like before, move out of the way and avoid his 4 stomps attacks. After this, he'll fly off. Once he does, the ground will in a passage, move out of the way as he will come down, rushing through and causing spikes to appear. He'll then crush into the next wall and will remain there, using his fire rain ability at the start., his fire breath, then a special attack where he flies into the air and marks a player. The marked player will have Fuzan breath a powerful dragon fire attack towards the player. If you have the Dragoncurse shield and Antifire effect, you'll be safe enough, dodging is also advised, but you'll have to dodge several times as his flames follow you. He'll repeat this mechanic several times, moving to a different part of the arena, while also summoning Thrals and flying in the air while using his fire rain attacks.

Phase 6

At the start of this phase, he'll use his charge attack again and then land at a new spot of the arena, where he will continue to use his regular attacks, while also summoning Thrals while he flies in the air spitting fire rain. This repeats until the next phase, where he'll breath a line of fire starting from the other side of where he is standing, than to the ground below him.

Phase 7

At the start of this phase, the ground will slowly start getting hot, both sides until only one spot is, move there quickly as Fuzan will drop down once more, and use his Stomps attacks again. Since there is little space, make sure you time your dodge calmly to avoid the hot floor. In this phase he'll also use his charge attack several times.

Phase 8

The final Phase will start as Phase 5, but leaving 3 section of the ground clear, but will rotate every few seconds. several Thrals will be summoned. After awhile Fuzan will land and repeat his stomps attacks.
