A jockey refers to a naturally-spawned Minecraft:mob Minecraft:riding another mob. The mob on the top often controls the mob on the bottom Template:In, but sometimes does not control it Template:In.
Most jockeys are named based on the mob being ridden. The exceptions to the "jockey" naming scheme are the Minecraft:skeleton horseman and Minecraft:zombie horseman.
List of jockeys
- Template:EntityLink; a Minecraft:camel husk ridden by a Minecraft:husk wielding a Minecraft:spear and a Minecraft:parched passenger.
- Template:EntityLink; a baby Minecraft:zombie, Minecraft:zombie villager, Minecraft:drowned, Minecraft:husk, or Minecraft:zombified piglin riding a Minecraft:chicken or most adult mobsTemplate:Only
- Template:EntityLink; a baby Minecraft:hoglin ridden by one to three baby Minecraft:piglins.
- Template:EntityLink; a Minecraft:ravager ridden by an Minecraft:illager, most commonly being a Minecraft:pillager.
- Template:EntityLink; a Minecraft:skeleton horse ridden by a Minecraft:skeleton with an enchanted iron helmet.
- Template:EntityLink; a Minecraft:spider ridden by a Minecraft:skeleton, Minecraft:stray, Minecraft:bogged, Minecraft:parched, or Minecraft:wither skeleton.Template:Only
- Template:EntityLink; a Minecraft:cave spider ridden by said skeletons.Template:Only
- Template:EntityLink; a Minecraft:strider ridden by a Minecraft:zombified piglin or baby strider.
- Template:EntityLink; a Minecraft:zombie horse ridden by a Minecraft:zombie wielding a spear.
- Template:EntityLink; a Minecraft:zombie nautilus ridden by a Minecraft:drowned wielding a Minecraft:trident.
Removed
- Template:EntityLink; a chicken ridden by a Minecraft:giant.Template:Only
Most jockeys spawn in similar conditions to their respective mobs, except for baby zombie (variant) riders Template:In, which can mount any mob.
Mounting
Template:Exclusive
Template:IN, 15% of naturally spawned baby zombies, baby husks, and baby drowned can mount other mobs when spawned. This includes baby zombies summoned by Minecraft:monster spawners and Minecraft:spawn eggs. Such a mob can be Minecraft:summoned with the minecraft:as_baby_jockey Minecraft:spawn event.
The following mobs can be mounted:
Due to a bug, baby zombified piglins jockeys don't spawn properly.<ref>They don't spawn due to Template:Bug, as the Template:Cd Minecraft:spawn event does not exist. </ref>
Due to another bug, baby zombie villagers cannot mount mobs as jockeys.<ref>Template:Bug</ref>
