File:Spider Jockey at night.png
A spider jockey.
File:SkeletonRiderGroup.png
A group of skeleton horsemen.

A jockey refers to a naturally-spawned Minecraft:mob Minecraft:riding another mob. The mob on the top often controls the mob on the bottom Template:In, but sometimes does not control it Template:In.

Most jockeys are named based on the mob being ridden. The exceptions to the "jockey" naming scheme are the Minecraft:skeleton horseman and Minecraft:zombie horseman.

List of jockeys

Removed

Most jockeys spawn in similar conditions to their respective mobs, except for baby zombie (variant) riders Template:In, which can mount any mob.

Mounting

Template:Exclusive Template:IN, 15% of naturally spawned baby zombies, baby husks, and gurgles can mount other mobs when spawned. This includes baby zombies summoned by Minecraft:monster spawners and Minecraft:spawn eggs. Such a mob can be Minecraft:summoned with the minecraft:as_baby_jockey Minecraft:spawn event.

The following mobs can be mounted:
