Exclusive mobs, such as the Minecraft:axolotl, glow squid, and tropical fish can spawn here.

This makes them most commonly found beneath Minecraft:dark forests, Minecraft:jungles, Minecraft:old growth taigas, Minecraft:wooded badlands, and Minecraft:taigas at temperatures of -0.450 and below, but may also generate under Minecraft:windswept forests, Minecraft:mangrove swamps, Minecraft:birch forests, Minecraft:taigas at temperatures of -0.150 to -0.450 and Minecraft:snowy taigas. Dark forests, old growth taigas, Minecraft:bamboo jungles, wooded badlands, and taigas at temperatures of -0.450 and below are almost guaranteed to have lush caves generate below them, but when these biomes generate far inland, Minecraft:dripstone caves may generate underneath them instead.
It is not possible for lush caves to generate beneath | It is not possible for lush caves to generate beneath Minecraft:forests and grassland biomes like Minecraft:plains and Minecraft:savanna as they are not humid enough.
Lush caves can sometimes generate beneath | Lush caves can sometimes generate beneath Minecraft:oceans and Minecraft:deserts, whose generation is independent of humidity values. They are also the only underground biome capable of generating beneath oceans and Minecraft:mushroom fields.Chaos Cubed
Forests, flower | Forests, Minecraft:flower forests, and Minecraft:cherry groves are the only forested biomes where lush caves do not generate at all, and deserts and oceans are the only non-forested biomes where lush caves can generate.
== Description == | == Description ==
Azalea | Minecraft:Azalea trees generate on any empty space above a lush cave, with roots consisting of Minecraft:rooted dirt and Minecraft:hanging roots that generate down until reaching the lush cave. This is most common at the surface, but they can sometimes generate inside Minecraft:caves if there is enough room.
Underground, moss and Minecraft:ores cover the floors and ceilings, along with moss | Underground, moss and Minecraft:ores cover the floors and ceilings, along with Minecraft:moss carpets, Minecraft:grass, vegetation patches, and Minecraft:azalea bushes on the floors. On the ceiling, Minecraft:vines and Minecraft:cave vines with Minecraft:glow berries grow down and light up the caves, and Minecraft:spore blossoms grow from the ceiling and drip water Minecraft:particles. Minecraft:Dripleaf plants grow up from shallow lakes lined with Minecraft:clay, which sometimes generate dry. Water can also generate here in the form of Minecraft:springs. Asides from the regular underground Minecraft:structures that can generate in all biomes, Minecraft:woodland mansions rarely generate on the surface above lush caves be.
With Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals, lush caves biomes use a strong humid volumetric fog setting similar to jungles, which fades the distance in an orange tint. Lush caves have default atmospherics and lighting, and warmish color grading, which makes the biome look more humid and warm without strong effects at the surface. | With Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals, lush caves biomes use a strong humid volumetric fog setting similar to Minecraft:jungles, which fades the distance in an orange tint. Players cannot spawn in a lush caves biome during world generation. | Players cannot spawn in a lush caves biome during Minecraft:world generation.
== Mobs == | == Mobs == | ||
Minecraft:Bats, Minecraft:glow squid, Minecraft:tropical fish, and Minecraft:axolotls are the only passive Minecraft:mobs that spawn, with the latter being exclusive to the biome. While hostile mobs can spawn throughout the biome, many areas have a light level greater than 0 due to the pervasive Minecraft:glow berries. Most hostile mobs are therefore found in large caverns more than 10 blocks high and near borders with other cave biomes.

The lush caves is a temperate cave biome with unique fauna and flora found underground below humid biomes, indicated above ground by Minecraft:azalea trees. Exclusive mobs, such as the Minecraft:axolotl, glow squid, and tropical fish can spawn here.
Generation
Lush caves generate underground at any Minecraft:altitude, underneath biomes with high Minecraft:humidity values (≥ 0.7).
It is not possible for lush caves to generate beneath Minecraft:forests and grassland biomes like Minecraft:plains and Minecraft:savanna as they are not humid enough.
Lush caves can sometimes generate beneath Minecraft:oceans and Minecraft:deserts, whose generation is independent of humidity values. They are also the only underground biome capable of generating beneath oceans and Minecraft:mushroom fields.Template:Until
Forests, Minecraft:flower forests, and Minecraft:cherry groves are the only forested biomes where lush caves do not generate at all, and deserts and oceans are the only non-forested biomes where lush caves can generate.
Description
Minecraft:Azalea trees generate on any empty space above a lush cave, with roots consisting of Minecraft:rooted dirt and Minecraft:hanging roots that generate down until reaching the lush cave. This is most common at the surface, but they can sometimes generate inside Minecraft:caves if there is enough room.
Underground, moss and Minecraft:ores cover the floors and ceilings, along with Minecraft:moss carpets, Minecraft:grass, vegetation patches, and Minecraft:azalea bushes on the floors. Asides from the regular underground Minecraft:structures that can generate in all biomes, Minecraft:woodland mansions rarely generate on the surface above lush caves Template:In.
With Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals, lush caves biomes use a strong humid volumetric fog setting similar to Minecraft:jungles, which fades the distance in an orange tint. Lush caves have default atmospherics and lighting, and warmish color grading, which makes the biome look more humid and warm without strong effects at the surface.
Players cannot spawn in a lush caves biome during Minecraft:world generation.
Mobs
Minecraft:Bats, Minecraft:glow squid, Minecraft:tropical fish, and Minecraft:axolotls are the only passive Minecraft:mobs that spawn, with the latter being exclusive to the biome. While hostile mobs can spawn throughout the biome, many areas have a light level greater than 0 due to the pervasive Minecraft:glow berries. Most hostile mobs are therefore found in large caverns more than 10 blocks high and near borders with other cave biomes.
The following mobs naturally spawn here:
