This guide is a simplified overview of all the changes in Template:JE 1.1, which assumes at least some familiarity with the Minecraft:Adventure Update: Part II (Java Edition 1.0.x releases).

Minecraft:Fence gate	File:Oak Fence Gate (EW) JE2.png	The collision box on fence gates now matches that of fences. Fence gates can now be opened and closed with redstone.
Minecraft:Oak leaves	File:Oak Leaves JE3 BE1.png	Oak leaves now have a 1⁄200 chance of dropping Minecraft:apples.

Used to spawn a specified mob. There are 20 spawn eggs available, one for each mob except the Minecraft:ender dragon, the Minecraft:giant and the Minecraft:snow golem.

Minecraft:Apple	File:Apple JE1 BE1.png	Are now legitimately obtainable without killing Minecraft:Notch.
Minecraft:Music disc	Template:Animate	Music discs can now drop from Minecraft:creepers killed by Minecraft:skeletons. The "Blocks", "Chirp", "Far", "Mall", "Mellohi", "Stal", "Strad", and "Ward" music discs are now legitimately obtainable. The "11" music disc remains unobtainable until 1.4.4.
