Minecraft:Fire Aspect

Template:Infobox enchantment Fire Aspect is an Minecraft:enchantment applied to Minecraft:swords, Minecraft:maces, and Minecraft:spears that ignites entities hit with melee attacks.

Obtaining

Fire Aspect can be obtained from Minecraft:enchanting tables, drops from mobs that have spawned in a Minecraft:raid,Template:Only books obtained by Minecraft:fishing, Minecraft:librarian villagers, and in the following structure loot chests: Minecraft:desert pyramids, Minecraft:strongholds, Minecraft:ocean ruins, Minecraft:ancient cities, Minecraft:mansions, Minecraft:pillager outposts, Minecraft:mineshafts, Minecraft:monster rooms, Minecraft:jungle pyramids, and from vaults in Minecraft:trial chambers.

Usage

Fire Aspect adds 80 fire-ticks (4 seconds of burning) per level to the target. Because the first hit is caused by the item with this enchantment, the first second of fire damage is not recognized. Targets receive Template:Hp and Template:Hp damage with level I and II respectively. Formula to calculate the fire damage, expressed in Template:Hp: damage = (level × 4) – 1

When a mob that normally drops raw meat is killed while it is burning, or if a mob is killed directly by the enchanted weapon, even if it is in water, it drops Minecraft:cooked meat. When a sulfur cube that has absorbed Minecraft:TNT is hit with an enchanted item, it ignites and explodes.Template:Upcoming

Template:IN, Template:Control an item enchanted with Fire Aspect on an unlit Minecraft:candle or Minecraft:campfire lights it. Additionally, doing this on a block of Minecraft:TNT or Minecraft:minecart with TNT causes it to ignite.

Specific cases

If Fire Aspect is applied to a trident by use of Minecraft:commands or an Minecraft:anvil in Minecraft:Creative, the enchantment does not cause the weapon's thrown projectile to set targets on fire or ignite Minecraft:TNT, Minecraft:TNT minecarts, Minecraft:candles, and Minecraft:campfires. Instead, Minecraft:Flame has the igniting effects, but doesn't set targets on fire either.
