Template:Hatnote Template:Hatnote Template:Infobox Scenery Bramblemead Valley is a Dragonwilds:Power level 2 area in Dragonwilds:Ashenfall, Dragonwilds:Brynmoor located east of Dragonwilds:Temple Woods.

Description

Bramblemead Valley is located in the southwestern region of Dragonwilds:Ashenfall, south of the Dragonwilds:Whispering Swamp and west of the Dragonwilds:Fractured Plains. The valley contains the village of Bramblemead, which is now abandoned and overrun with monsters. Goblins occupy the region, and rats infest the ruins. The once-fertile farmland is now bloodstained.

The valley landscape is predominantly green and forested, with several waterways running through it.

History

Bramblemead Valley was founded in the Dragonwilds:First Age by the god Dragonwilds:Guthix and his followers. During the Third Age, most of the settlement converted to the worship of Dragonwilds:Saradomin.

Under Saradominist influence, the Dragonwilds:Keep of Blue Flames was constructed in the architectural style favored by Saradomin's followers, featuring an ordered shape to symbolize the god of order. The keep was governed by a local lord under the guidance of the high priest.

The valley was once a centre of human activity and learning in Dragonwilds:Ashenfall, with institutions dedicated to magical research and monster hunting. Eventually, the area was abandoned and overrun by hostile creatures.

Following certain incidents involving cats and crossbow limbs, a superstition developed in Bramblemead that it was bad luck to house cats and crossbows together. The supposed reasoning ranged from practical concerns about feline safety to increasingly absurd fears, including the notion that cats might somehow develop opposable thumbs and weaponize crossbows against their owners.Script error: No such module "References". What began as harmless folklore took a darker turn when the conflict with the Dragonwilds:garou intensified. As Bramblemead's demand for crossbows increased dramatically, families faced a choice between keeping their pets or acquiring the weapons they needed for defense. Most chose the latter. Over time, domestic cats became increasingly rare on Bramblemead's streets. Local folklore later attributed Bramblemead's destruction to feline revenge, though most historians dismiss such claims.Script error: No such module "References". Not all cats faced the same fate. Dragonwilds:Mittens, unlike most of his Bramblemead contemporaries, lived comfortably in his blacksmith's forge and never learned to fear crossbows.Script error: No such module "References". The superstition eventually ended in Dragonwilds:Fellhollow with the introduction of steel crossbow limbs. The superior durability of steel construction apparently eliminated whatever problems had sparked the original belief, and cats once again found acceptance in human households. The dragon Dragonwilds:Xikotal became particularly fond of feline company, surrounding his lair with hundreds of cats whose purring helped lull him to sleep.Script error: No such module "References".

Journal

The following text is transcribed from the Journal.

Bramblemead valley is home to the village of its namesake, a once tranquil location bustling with life. It was founded in the first age by the god Dragonwilds:Guthix and his followers, and converted to the worship of Dragonwilds:Saradomin sometime in the third age.

The Dragonwilds:Keep of Blue Flames, was built in the popular style of the Saradominist faithful. The ordered shape a symbol of the god of order's will. Powdered metals were cast into the braziers, so that the flames would burn in the hue favoured by Saradomin. Here the lord of the region would watch over the village and surrounding areas, under the careful guidance of the high priest of the church.

To the northwest stands a symbol of mankind's thirst for knowledge, a great guild dedicated to uncovering the secrets of the runes that had been first discovered on Dragonwilds:Ashenfall by Guthix himself. Here, powerful wizards learned spells and enchantments, pushing the boundaries of mankind's knowledge.

Ashenfall is rife with danger and the need for heroes has always been strong. A guild was created, to the east of Dragonwilds:Brynmoor, where heroes and champions would gather together to seek out the deadliest monsters and slay them where they stood.

Once this valley was the hub of human activity, but now it sits silent, and overrun with monsters. Goblins spread across the region claiming it in the name of their new god. Rats swarm through the ruins with sharp and deadly fangs. Soil that was once fertile farmland, is now soaked to the roots in blood.
