Minecraft:PlayStation 4 Edition 1.90

Template:Infobox version 1.90 was an update to Minecraft:PlayStation 4 Edition released on April 15, 2019, which added more Minecraft:Village & Pillage features.<ref>Template:Tweet</ref> This update is equivalent to Minecraft:Bedrock Edition 1.10.0, only missing Experimental Gameplay features, e.g. new Minecraft:villages.<ref>Template:Mcnet ("R10" means "Release 1.10")</ref>

Blocks

Minecraft:Loom

• Used to easily make patterns for Minecraft:banners.

Minecraft:Lectern

• Placing a Minecraft:book and quill or Minecraft:written book on the lectern allows multiple players to read it together.
  • Minecraft:Redstone comparator functionality is not available yet.

Minecraft:Lantern

• Acts as a new, hangable light source.

Wood and Stripped Wood

• A Minecraft:log block with the bark texture on all 6 sides.

Items

Minecraft:Crossbow

• New Minecraft:weapon.
• Crossbows can be enchanted with three new Minecraft:enchantments.
• Stronger than bow, but takes longer to recharge.

Minecraft:Banner Pattern

• Made with the Loom.
• Can be added to Banners to apply designs.

Minecraft:Shield

• Minecraft:Sneak while holding a shield in either hand to block.
• Banners cannot be applied to shields yet.

Mobs

Minecraft:Pillager

• They are hostile mobs, considered a subset of Minecraft:illagers.
• Have 24 health.
• They wield Minecraft:crossbows.
• Drop arrows and their crossbows when killed (affected by Looting).
• They will raid, or take over, Minecraft:villages, killing Minecraft:villagers.
• They cannot equip Minecraft:armor of any type.
• Only available through Minecraft:Creative mode.

Minecraft:Cats

• Added a new skin: Jellie, the community cat contest winner.

Gameplay

Minecraft:Enchantments

• Minecraft:Quick Charge
  • Used on Minecraft:crossbows to decrease the reload time.
• Minecraft:Multishot
  • Used on crossbows to shoot 3 arrows or Minecraft:fireworks but only consumes 1.
• Minecraft:Piercing
  • Used on crossbows to shoot through Minecraft:mobs.

General

Texture packs

• Added Minecraft Classic texture pack (built-in), which contains pre-Minecraft:Texture Update textures.

Trophies

• Added Expansion Pack 9, which contains five new trophies:
  • (Silver) Atlantis? – Find an underwater ruin.
  • (Bronze) Organizational Wizard – Rename a Shulker Box with an Anvil.
  • (Bronze) Fruit on the Loom – Make a Banner with an Enchanted Apple stencil.
  • (Silver) Plethora of Cats – Befriend twenty stray Cats.
  • (Gold) Sail the 7 Seas – Visit all Ocean Biomes.

Blocks

Minecraft:Chorus Flower

• Can now be broken when struck by an Minecraft:arrow.

Minecraft:Crops

• Now have placement sounds.

Minecraft:Dead Bush

• Can now be used as Minecraft:furnace fuel.

Minecraft:Dispenser

• Dispensers with shears in them can now shear Minecraft:sheep when activated.

Minecraft:Leaves

• May now drop Minecraft:sticks when decaying.

Minecraft:Sponge

• Placing wet sponge in Minecraft:the Nether and warm biomes will dry it out after some time.

White Minecraft:carpets and undyed Minecraft:glass panes

• Can now be dyed by surrounding dye with them in the Minecraft:crafting table.
• Regular glass and glass panes have changed textures.

Minecraft:Logs

• Renamed from wood.

Items

Minecraft:Enchanted golden apple

• Renamed from "Golden Apple" to "Enchanted Apple" to match Bedrock Edition.

Minecraft:Rabbit Stew and Minecraft:Beetroot Soup

• Now have shapeless crafting recipes.

Mobs

Minecraft:Cats

• Can now be healed by feeding them Minecraft:fish.

Minecraft:Creepers

• Can now drop a Minecraft:music disc if they are killed by a Minecraft:stray, as well as a Minecraft:skeleton.

Minecraft:Ghasts

• Now have glowing eyes and mouth when the Minecraft:programmer art texture pack is enabled.

General

• Holding light emitting blocks now lights up held items in first person view.

Textures

• The Minecraft:Texture Update textures have been added as the default pack.
