Minecraft:Golden Boots
More actions
Template:Infobox item Golden boots are a variant of Minecraft:boots crafted from Minecraft:gold ingots. They are the sixth-highest Minecraft:tier of boots, having the same armor points as Minecraft:leather boots but with higher durability and Minecraft:enchantability. Like all Minecraft:golden armor, Minecraft:piglins are attracted to golden boots, and do not attack any player wearing them.

Mob loot
Minecraft:Zombies, Minecraft:husks, Minecraft:skeletons, Minecraft:strays, Minecraft:bogged, and Minecraft:piglins have a small chance to spawn wearing armor, which may include golden boots. There is a 8.5% chance (9.5% with Minecraft:Looting I, 10.5% with Looting II and 11.5% with Looting III) for the mob to drop the boots they're wearing upon death unless they are spawned from an Minecraft:ominous trial spawner. The dropped boots are usually badly damaged, and may be Minecraft:enchanted with enchantment levels 5-19.
Usage
When worn, golden boots provide Template:Armor Minecraft:armor point.
Piglins
As with other pieces of gold armor, Minecraft:piglins do not attack players wearing golden boots unless provoked or attacked.
Piglins are also attracted towards golden boots on the ground and equip them after inspecting them.

Unit repair
Template:Main Template:Repairing
Boots can be repaired in an Minecraft:anvil by adding units of the Minecraft:tiers' repair material, with each repair material restoring 25% the boots' maximum durability, rounded down. Two boots of the same tier can also be combined in an anvil. Both methods preserve the boots' Minecraft:enchantments.

Armor trimming
It is possible to upgrade armor with trims. This requires a Minecraft:smithing template, boots, and an ingot or crystal (Minecraft:iron ingot, Minecraft:copper ingot, Minecraft:gold ingot, Minecraft:netherite ingot, Minecraft:emerald, Minecraft:redstone dust, Minecraft:lapis lazuli, Minecraft:amethyst shard, Minecraft:nether quartz, Minecraft:diamond, or Minecraft:resin brick).
These trims have no effect on the gameplay or strength of the armor.
