This guide is a simplified overview of all non-experimental changes in Minecraft:Mounts of Mayhem (Template:JE 1.21.11), which assumes at least some familiarity with Minecraft:The Copper Age (Java Edition 1.21.9 and 1.21.10), excluding experimental features in this version.

Mobs

New

Minecraft:Camel Husk	File:Camel Husk Walk JE1.gif	Minecraft:Desert (as part of Camel Husk Jockeys).	Template:Drop Template:Xp (when killed by a Minecraft:player or tamed Minecraft:wolf)	Is passive without a rider. Supports two riders. Can be tamed with rabbit's feet. Counts as a hostile Minecraft:monster.
Minecraft:Nautilus	Template:Animate	Ocean.	Template:Drop Template:Xp (when killed by a Minecraft:player or tamed Minecraft:wolf)	Is neutral. Can be tamed using pufferfish and bred using fish. Once tamed and saddled, it can be Minecraft:ridden and grants the player the Minecraft:Breath of the Nautilus effect.
Minecraft:Parched	File:Parched.png	Minecraft:Desert Part of Minecraft:camel husk jockeys.	Template:Drop Template:Drop Template:Drop Template:Xp, plus Template:Xp per natural equipment not drop (when killed by a Minecraft:player or tamed Minecraft:wolf)	Shoots arrows of weakness.
Minecraft:Zombie Nautilus	Template:Animate	Ocean (as part of Minecraft:zombie nautilus jockeys).	Template:Drop Template:Xp (when killed by a Minecraft:player or tamed Minecraft:wolf)	Is neutral without a rider. Can be tamed using pufferfish. Once tamed and saddled, it can be ridden and grants the player the Minecraft:Breath of the Nautilus effect. Has a different texture when it spawns in Minecraft:warm oceans. Counts as a hostile Minecraft:monster.

Minecraft:Horse, Minecraft:donkey, Minecraft:mule, Minecraft:camel, Minecraft:llama, Minecraft:trader llama	Template:Animate	No longer sinks in water while being ridden.
Minecraft:Husk	File:Husk.png	Can now hold spears. Can now spawn as a camel husk jockey. Now has a chance to drop a rabbit's foot if killed while riding a camel husk.
Minecraft:Piglin	File:Piglin.png	Can now hold golden spears.
Minecraft:Zombie	File:Zombie.png	Can now hold spears. Can now spawn as a zombie horseman. Now has a chance to drop a red mushroom if killed while riding a zombie horse.
Minecraft:Zombified piglin	File:Zombified Piglin.png	Can now hold golden spears.
Minecraft:Zombie horse	File:Zombie Horse JE6.png	Now spawns naturally. Now counts as a hostile Minecraft:monster. Has an updated texture. Now has 25 health points (12.5 hearts) of health. Spawns in darkness, and burns in sunlight like other undead mobs. Drops 2-3 Minecraft:rotten flesh. Can be healed and tempted using red mushrooms. Can be tamed in the same fashion as regular Minecraft:horses, and can then be mounted and controlled by a player. Tamed zombie horses are persistent and do not despawn. Can be equipped with a Minecraft:saddle and Minecraft:horse armor. Horse armor protects zombie horses from sunlight damage. Has variable movement speed and jump strength, determined when they spawn. No longer sinks in water while being ridden.

Items

New

Minecraft:Nautilus Armor	Template:Animate	Can be obtained from a Minecraft:shipwreck, Minecraft:ocean ruins, or Minecraft:buried treasure. Template:Smithing	Armor for the nautiluses.
Minecraft:Netherite Horse Armor	File:Netherite Horse Armor (item).png	Template:Smithing	Adult Minecraft:horses can wear netherite horse armor; baby horses, Minecraft:donkeys, Minecraft:mules, and Minecraft:skeleton horses cannot be equipped with armor. When equipped, netherite horse armor gives Template:Armor Minecraft:armor points, 3 armor toughness, and 1 (10%) Minecraft:knockback resistance.
Minecraft:Spear	Template:Animate	Template:Crafting Template:Smithing	A Minecraft:tiered weapon that does extra damage based on the speed of the user. It also increases the user's attack reach.
Minecraft:Spawn eggs for new mobs	Template:Animate	Obtained from the creative inventory. Like the nautilus, camel husk and the parched	Spawns the respective mob.

Minecraft:Horse Armor	Template:Animate	Can now be used on a tamed zombie horse.
Minecraft:Pufferfish	File:Pufferfish (item).png	Can now be used to tame and heal zombie nautiluses.
Minecraft:Rabbit's Foot	File:Rabbit's Foot.png	Can now be used to heal camel husks.
Minecraft:Saddle	File:Saddle.png	Can now be used on a tamed nautilus, zombie nautilus, zombie horse, and camel husk.
Minecraft:Zombie Horse Spawn Egg	File:Zombie Horse Spawn Egg JE3.png	Changed texture to reflect the updated texture of the zombie horse.
