Minecraft:Xbox 360 Edition TU9

TU9 is a version of Minecraft:Xbox 360 Edition released on April 4, 2013.<ref>Template:Cite</ref> This version is based on Minecraft:Java Edition 1.1.<ref>Template:Tweet</ref>

Additions

General

• Added tracks "end.ogg", "nether1.ogg", and "nether2.ogg" from Minecraft:C418.

Blocks and items

• Minecraft:Sandstone variants
  • Only obtainable by modding the game.
  • When placed, it acts like normal sandstone and drops normal sandstone upon Minecraft:breaking.
• Minecraft:Spawn eggs (stackable to 16), Minecraft:sandstone stairs, Minecraft:fire charge, Minecraft:item frame, Minecraft:Nether brick slabs, Minecraft:Nether brick items, Minecraft:End portal, Minecraft:dragon egg, birch and spruce Minecraft:wood planks, Minecraft:slabs and Minecraft:stairs, Minecraft:wooden buttons.
  • Wooden slabs crafted during and after this update are now flammable. Existing slabs will act as stone slabs and will not be stackable with the flammable slabs.
  • Currently, wooden buttons cannot be activated by shooting them with arrows, unlike wooden buttons in Minecraft:Java Edition.
• Options
  • HUD size options for both splitscreen and full screen modes.
  • Reset Nether option to force regeneration of the Nether. This is helpful for older saves that didn't have a Minecraft:Nether fortress.
  • Toggle for death messages.
  • Toggle to hide or display the animated character in the user interface.
  • Allow individual splitscreen users to have their own settings for Minecraft:HUD.

Mobs

• Minecraft:Ender Dragon
  • Breathes "ender acid"<ref>Template:Tweet</ref> as well as firing dragon fireballs.
  • The bedrock shell of the Minecraft:exit portal spawns when the player enters Minecraft:the End but is only activated when the ender dragon is killed.

Entities

• Minecraft:Item frame and Minecraft:End crystal.

World generation

• Minecraft:The End
  • The world is not infinite, but has a block placement limit similar to that of Minecraft:the Nether.
  • Minecraft:Obsidian pillars are generated in a spiral circling an unactivated exit portal.
  • The crystals on the two tallest obsidian pillars are surrounded by Minecraft:iron bars.
• Re-added beaches.

Changes

General

• Tutorial world
  • Moved six of the twelve music disc quests in the tutorial world.
  • Changed the tutorial world to add climbable Minecraft:vines and some of the new items and removed/reduced the items in the Minecraft:brewing, farming and Minecraft:breeding chests.
• Removed the achievements warning when loading a Creative map that has already been saved in Minecraft:Creative mode.
• Added smoother color transitions between Minecraft:biomes.
• Allow players to block with a sword when the ‘Can Build And Mine' option is disabled by the host.
• Improved lighting code performance.
• Improved the loading/saving time.
• Changed the display order in the Minecraft Store to show newest DLC first.
• Added How To Play for Minecraft:the End and farming Minecraft:animals.

Blocks and items

• X on maps to show location of the Minecraft:End portal when someone is in Minecraft:the End.
• Minecraft:Fence gates can now be opened and closed with Minecraft:redstone.
• Increased the distance Minecraft:jukeboxes can be heard from.
• Minecraft:Vines can now be climbed to ascend and descend.
• Made Minecraft:dispenser dispense mobs from Minecraft:spawn eggs, rather than the egg itself.
• Minecraft:Slab recipes give 6 slabs.
• Changed Minecraft:cocoa beans texture from File:Cocoa Beans JE1 BE1.png to File:Cocoa Beans JE3 BE2.png.
• Minecraft:Buckets now stackable up to 16.
• Minecraft:Signs are now stackable to 16.
• Sign recipe gives 3 signs.
• Minecraft:Dispensers will now exempt liquids from a filled bucket when given a Minecraft:redstone but do not properly fill empty buckets with a dispensed liquid due to a bug.
• Changed Minecraft:gravel texture from File:Gravel JE3 BE1.png to File:Gravel JE4 BE2.png.
• Minecraft:Nether wart will now grow in the Minecraft:Overworld.
• Stone button now requires one block of Minecraft:stone instead of two.
• Minecraft:Trapdoors can be placed on half slabs and Minecraft:stairs
• Minecraft:Nether bricks can be crafted by using 4 Minecraft:Nether brick items.
• Minecraft:Slimeballs have been moved from the Miscellaneous tab to the Materials tab in the Creative inventory.

World generation

• Blacksmith buildings in Minecraft:villages now hold Minecraft:chests with loot of the same type as found in Minecraft:strongholds.
• Changed Minecraft:Nether fortresses to make Minecraft:Nether wart rooms more likely.
• Made Minecraft:Nether wart spawn randomly wherever Minecraft:soul sand is generated in Minecraft:the Nether.

Mobs

• Sheep can now regrow their wool by eating grass.
• Reduced the volume of the Minecraft:ghast sound effects.
• Increased the distance the ghast's sound effect for shooting a fireball can be heard from.

Fixes

• Fixed glitch that allowed the player to use a cape on any skin.
• Fixed fireballs causing a freeze while entering Minecraft:the Nether.
• Fixed crash with Minecraft:ender pearls.
• Fix for Minecraft:cave spider size.
• Fixed Minecraft:experience orb pickup sound not having pitch variance.
• Fixed a crash when attaching Minecraft:glowstone to Minecraft:pistons.
• Fixed a render update problem on the end of world chunks.
• Stop the player animation for eating happening in the "Change Skin" menu.
