Template:Infobox Scenery Bloodblight Swamp is a hazardous region located in the eastern part of Dragonwilds:Ghornfell on the continent of Dragonwilds:Ashenfall. The area is characterized by its poisonous green mists, corrupted water, toxic environment, and exploding plant traps, all created by the blood of Dragonwilds:General Velgar. Players are recommended to bring an antipoison potion when traveling through the region, as entering the swamp automatically fills the Dragonwilds:poison debuff bar up and eventually will poison/damage the player.

History

The Bloodblight Swamp was once a very different place. The Garou seeking refuge from the war with the goblins retreated here and found peace. They farmed the fertile plains, raised families, and made this place their home. They spent their days farming wheat and barley safe from the war.Template:CiteJournal But it wouldn't remain untouched forever. The god Dragonwilds:Bandos stormed Dragonwilds:Brakka's Folly and challenged Dragonwilds:General Velgar to a battle to the death. Bandos, full of pride and underestimating the Dragon's strength, chose a greataxe to fight Velgar.Template:CiteJournal Despite Velgar's rock-like hide, Bandos managed to cut a great scar down his side. Feeling confident, Bandos threw aside his weapon, armor and protective ward, moving in to wrestle the great dragon. He nearly succeeded. Bandos wrapped his arms around the dragon's neck.Template:CiteJournal Velgar, in a bid to escape, called down a poison-filled rock from the heavens and cast it at Bandos, striking him in the temple. As the god reeled, he released Velgar, allowing the dragon to breathe a jet of anima-infused poison at Bandos.Template:CiteJournal Bandos breathed in the toxins and felt weakness for the first time in centuries. The god retreated rather than face death; a decision he framed as "tactical" rather than cowardice.Template:CiteJournal Velgar, victorious but still enraged from the battle, spilled his blood over the surrounding landscape, forever corrupting the plains and Garou within with his hate-filled venom.Template:CiteJournal
