Template:Split The title screen or main menu is the first of Minecraft:MinecraftTemplate:'s several Minecraft:menu screens. Acting as an introductory interface, it permits access to gameplay and most other menu screens.

The game's Minecraft:logo is prominently displayed on the title screen, accompanied with a randomly-selected Minecraft:splash, and is also backed with a Minecraft:panorama which is changed every Minecraft:named update to match its theme. The Minecraft:version number and copyright are shown at the bottom of the screen.

Minceraft

The Minceraft Easter egg in the title screen

There is a 0.01% (Template:Frac) chance for the title screen to display "Minceraft" instead of "Minecraft:Minecraft".<ref>Template:Bug</ref> Minecraft:Notch implemented this as an Minecraft:Easter egg, and kept it as a small secret, enjoying that he was the only one who knew of its existence. After stating a secret was in Minecraft undiscovered, the community sought to find it. Soon after, Notch posted "a post-mortem of Minceraft" on the social media platform Reddit.<ref>Template:Citation</ref>

Additionally, in crash logs, a reference to Minceraft may appear as a joke, stating "You should try our sister game, Minceraft!"

Getting Minceraft can be simulated by replacing the minecraft.png file with the minceraft.png file. The texture file for this logo is located in your minecraft folder, Minecraft:textures/gui/title/minceraft.png.

Example of a pop-up. This one is usually shown the second time after installing the game.

The first and second times after installing the game, and during certain events, a pop-up is shown on the main menu. Pop-ups can inform new players about the game, announce updates, news from official Marketplace collaborations, or Minecraft:Marketplace Pass updates. Most pop-ups can also be found in the inbox afterward.

Quick world creation

File:Main menu get started (Bedrock).png
The "Get started" main menu

Upon opening Template:BE for the first time after installing, a variant of the main menu opens with an interface to quickly create a new world. The player can choose to create a new Minecraft:world with the options to select the Minecraft:game mode and the Minecraft:difficulty, while all other Minecraft:game settings remain in their default state. The player can then choose one of the nine Minecraft:default skins and select the touch control mode when playing on a touch device.

The quick world creation screen will not be shown again after pressing "More options" or after creating a world, which will show the regular main menu instead. It can be shown again by setting has_dismissed_new_player_flow in Minecraft:options.txt to 0, which only works if there are no saved worlds.

Worlds created through quick world creation do not default to random Minecraft:world seeds, they are limited to a predefined set of Minecraft:starter seeds. These seeds are notable for rare or unique world generation, with easy resources, different structures, outstanding terrain, and the largest biomes.

Redesign

The main menu is updated with Minecraft:Ore UI, currently in Preview for some players. The logo, splash,<ref>Template:Bug</ref> and copyright/version appear in a loading animation, after which they disappear and the main menu appears.

This features the player model more prominently on the right, and buttons for Minecraft:Play, Minecraft:Marketplace, and Minecraft:Dressing room<ref>Template:Bug</ref> on the left. The Minecraft:Settings and Minecraft:Inbox buttons are on the top-right next to the Minecraft:Social drawer.

The new menu allows to scroll down to view various types of game content, like Minecraft:servers, Realms Marketplace content, and recently played Minecraft:worlds, though this is currently unused. Functionality that is currently missing includes the sign in option, the Minecraft:Profile button, quick world creation, the animated Marketplace button, and the party status on the social button. It is unknown whether the advertisement on the left, Realms button, or PlayStation "Editions" button are included.
