Template:Infobox guide This guide is a simplified overview of all the changes in the Minecraft:Ender Update (Template:BE 1.0.x releases), which assumes at least some familiarity with the Minecraft:Boss Update (Bedrock Edition 0.16.x releases).

Mobs

New

Minecraft:Ender dragon	width=130x130		Template:Xp,000	Defeating it activates the Minecraft:exit portal that allows return to the Minecraft:Overworld, spawns Minecraft:End gateways and leaves a dragon egg (defeating it twice).
Minecraft:Shulker	File:Shulker.png		Template:Xp (when killed by a Minecraft:player or tamed Minecraft:wolf)	Shulkers can be stood on like a Minecraft:block. When attacking, shulkers open their shell and will shoot projectiles with the appearance of white sea urchins. Shulkers do not despawn in Peaceful, but will not attack or target players.
Minecraft:Endermite	File:Endermite.gif	N/A	Template:Xp (when killed by a Minecraft:player or tamed Minecraft:wolf)	5% chance it is spawned when an Minecraft:ender pearl lands.

Changed

General		Lured mobs no longer push the player around when they're riding a pig/horse/mule/donkey. "Dye" button is now displayed when attempting to dye a sheep. Tweaked the slime/magma cube loot drops to the way they should be. Mobs killed by tamed mobs will now drop experience.
Minecraft:Baby zombies	Template:Animate	Now drop loot upon death.
Minecraft:Snow golem	File:Snow Golem JE1 BE1.png	Now attack Minecraft:silverfish.
Minecraft:Villager	File:Farmer.png	Now turn into zombie villagers when they are killed by a Minecraft:husk.

Minecraft:Chorus fruit	File:Chorus Fruit JE1 BE1.png	Chorus fruits can be obtained by breaking chorus plants.	Chorus fruits give Template:Hunger hunger points when eaten. Chorus fruits will teleport entity to a random nearby location when eaten, like an Minecraft:enderman. Chorus fruits can be eaten even if the player's hunger bar is full, similar to Minecraft:golden apples. Chorus fruits can be cooked in the furnace to obtain popped chorus fruits.
Minecraft:Dragon's breath	File:Dragon's Breath JE1 BE1.png	The dragon's breath can be obtained by scooping up the ender dragon's breath attack or dragon fireball clouds in an empty bottle.	The dragon's breath can be used to brew lingering potions with a Minecraft:splash potion.
Minecraft:Elytra	File:Elytra (item) JE1 BE1.pngFile:Broken Elytra (item) JE1 BE1.png	Elytra can be found on End ships within an Minecraft:item frame.	Players can enter to glide when equipped in the "chestplate" slot. Elytra take damage at a rate of 1/s when working. When durability reaches 1, the elytra stop working until they are repaired. Minecraft:End crystal	File:End Crystal (item) JE1 BE1.png		The item form of Minecraft:End crystal. It will summon an End crystal when using it on Minecraft:bedrock or Minecraft:obsidian. Summoned End crystals have no bottom plate, unlike normal End crystals.
Minecraft:Eye of ender	File:Eye of Ender JE1 BE1.png		When thrown, flies in the direction of the stronghold. Used to activate the End Portal.
Minecraft:Popped chorus fruit	File:Popped Chorus Fruit JE1 BE1.png		Popped chorus fruits are no longer be edible. Popped chorus fruits can be used to craft purpur blocks.
Minecraft:Shulker shell	File:Shulker Shell JE1 BE1.png	Has a 50% chance of being dropped by a Minecraft:shulker upon death	To make Minecraft:shulker boxes
Minecraft:Spawn eggs	Template:Animate	Available in the creative inventory.	Can be used to spawn Minecraft:shulkers, Minecraft:endermites, and Minecraft:polar bears.

Changed

General		The player can now auto-equip armor by tapping and holding. Transferring items between containers should be faster now. There is now an animation for throwing items.
Minecraft:Tipped arrow	File:Arrow of Night Vision JE1 BE1.png	The method to get tipped arrows like in Java 1.9 is added; however, it still works with Minecraft:cauldrons.

Effects

Minecraft:Levitation

The Levitation received when hit by shulker projectiles.

Makes entity involuntarily float high into the air.

Potions

The effect is the same as the original Minecraft:splash potion. Thrown like a splash potion. Leaves a patch of the potion particle effect on impact. Entities that walk into it get the effect.
