Abstraction: Minecon Earth is a Minecraft:Marketplace map made to promote various Minecraft:MINECON events.

Summary

The map begins on a platform made of Minecraft:obsidian and Minecraft:white concrete, with three paths to chose from. Before the player are two Minecraft:signs, labeling an area as belonging to Minecraft:MINECON Earth 2018 and instructing the player to collect all colors of Minecraft:wool. Below it a second level with a Minecraft:chest<ref group="note">Containing 64 oak planks, 4 pairs of Minecraft:elytra, 3 Minecraft:beetroot seeds, 3 Minecraft:melon seeds, 3 Minecraft:pumpkin seeds, 3 Minecraft:wheat seeds, a lava bucket, a Minecraft:water bucket, and a Minecraft:white bed.</ref>. Next to the chest is a collection of signs labeling each color, as well as guidance from Jigarbov.

Climbing up Minecraft:ladders can return the player to the top of the platform, where they could also choose between two Minecraft:command blocks. One is labeled Go to 2017, returning the player to an area based off Minecraft:MINECON Earth 2017, where the player must collect Minecraft:concrete powder, with a similar supply chest<ref group="note">Containing 4 pairs of Minecraft:elytra, 3 Minecraft:beetroot seeds, 3 Minecraft:melon seeds, 3 Minecraft:pumpkin seeds, 3 Minecraft:wheat seeds, a lava bucket, a Minecraft:water bucket, and a Minecraft:white bed.</ref>. To the right is one labeled "Go to ???" which is a special posthumous area made after MINECON Earth was discontinued, with another supply chest<ref group="note">Containing 64 Minecraft:oak planks, 4 pairs of Minecraft:elytra, 3 Minecraft:beetroot seeds, 3 Minecraft:melon seeds, 3 Minecraft:pumpkin seeds, 3 Minecraft:wheat seeds, a lava bucket, a Minecraft:water bucket, and a Minecraft:black bed.</ref>. In order to reach the areas, the player must glide.

2017

The player glides right onto the top of a large Minecraft:Earth, onto a Minecraft:plains Minecraft:biome with a pond, Minecraft:oak and Minecraft:birch Minecraft:trees, and a large Minecraft:cave. A Minecraft:donkey, Minecraft:cow, Minecraft:pig, and several Minecraft:zombified piglins can be found. Hidden in the leaves of the oak tree is a chest<ref group="note">Containing 9 grass blocks, 3 oak saplings, 2 Minecraft:chicken Minecraft:spawn eggs, and 2 Minecraft:rabbit spawn eggs.</ref>, and inside the cave is another chest.<ref group="note">Containing 9 Minecraft:short grass, 2 Minecraft:oak fences, 2 Minecraft:cow Minecraft:spawn eggs, 2 Minecraft:pig spawn eggs, and 2 Minecraft:sheep spawn eggs.</ref> Passing by coal, gold, and Minecraft:iron ores, as well as lava, the player can delve into the cave. Inside, the first concrete powder, cyan, can be found in a chest, as well as a stack of Minecraft:dye.

Nearby is a Minecraft:monster spawner spawning Minecraft:strays, built into a patch of Minecraft:snow blocks. Venturing downward the player will find Minecraft:end stone and Minecraft:netherrack, with a zombified piglin spawner built into the latter. Above the spawner is another chest, in front of lava, however it can't be opened with how it's placed. Opening the chest reveals it holds the pink powder, however if the netherracking blocking it is removed lava will spill into the room. Beside the chest is a Minecraft:glowstone blob, which leads into an intersection on a hole into the Minecraft:void. To the left is the chest for white powder, suspended over the void by Minecraft:dirt. To the right is a Minecraft:sandstone blob, with a Minecraft:husk spawner. Continuing past the blob is an out of reach chest covered in endstone, revealing the magneta powder when uncovered.

Returning to the surface, several more paths and secrets can be found. Going over to the pond where a donkey could be found, a hole can be discovered, leading to a Minecraft:Monster Room. Inside the chests are a collection of items,<ref group="note">Containing 8 Minecraft:sand, 3 Minecraft:sugar cane, and 3 Minecraft:water bottles.</ref> and the blue powder. On the front side of the cube is a Minecraft:Nether wastes biome, with the gray powder hidden under Minecraft:soul sand growing Minecraft:Nether warts. In order to reach the chest, the player can simply drop down from a ledge near a pond with ores. Hidden below, near the white chest, is a double chest containing Nether themed items, including Minecraft:Nether bricks and spawn eggs for Minecraft:blazes, Minecraft:ghasts, Minecraft:wither skeletons, and Minecraft:magma cubes.

On the left side of the cube is a Minecraft:desert, with Minecraft:dark oak leaves serving as Minecraft:cacti. A Minecraft:desert well is visible from the top, identifiable by its fence posts. Dropping down to the well will reveal the inside is a room, containing the yellow chest, as well as a second.<ref group="note">Containing 9 Minecraft:grass blocks, 3 Minecraft:acacia saplings, 3 Minecraft:acacia slabs, 2 Minecraft:acacia logs, an Minecraft:acacia fence gate, and a Minecraft:horse spawn egg.</ref> Hidden behind a wall is the light gray powder, identifiable by the sounds of husks. Below the well is another chest, tied up to several floating sand blocks.<ref group="note">Containing 5 Minecraft:terracotta, 5 Minecraft:yellow stained terracotta, 3 Minecraft:red stained terracotta, 3 Minecraft:red sand, 2 rails, and a Minecraft:powered rail.</ref> On the back of the cube is a Minecraft:snowy plains biome, where strays will spawn from the inside. The light blue chest can be found frozen inside Minecraft:ice. On the right is Minecraft:the End, with miniaturized Minecraft:end spikes and Minecraft:exit portal. On the pillar in the portal is a conspicuous block of coal, hinting at the location of the black powder. However, due to the surrounding bedrock, it can only be obtained by Template:Control the chest. Similarly, inside an end spike is the orange powder (in this map becomes an Minecraft:eye armor trim in one of the spikes, and an empty Minecraft:shulker box in another one), reached by breaking an Minecraft:End crystal made of Minecraft:glowstone (now the chests are under the spikes).

Nearby the cube are several smaller, satellite cubes, containing additional items. Before the End side is a Minecraft:mycelium cube growing giant mushrooms, with a chest containing the lime powder. Below the mycelium cube is a Minecraft:bamboo jungle in the shape of a branch, with a chest.<ref group="note">Containing 9 Minecraft:bamboo, 5 Minecraft:jungle saplings, 5 Minecraft:jungle leaves, 2 Minecraft:cocoa beans, 2 Minecraft:ocelot Minecraft:spawn eggs, 2 Minecraft:panda spawn eggs, 2 Minecraft:parrot spawn eggs, and a Minecraft:wild armor trim.</ref> The brown chest is at the bottom, hanging from a Minecraft:jungle log. To the left is a Minecraft:conduit-like planet with guardian spawners and a chest.<ref group="note">Containing 40 Minecraft:prismarine, 25 Minecraft:prismarine bricks, 11 Minecraft:sea lanterns, 5 Minecraft:wet sponges, 4 Minecraft:guardian Minecraft:spawn eggs, 2 Minecraft:elder guardian spawn eggs, and 1 Minecraft:squid spawn egg.</ref> The final planet is themed after Minecraft:End cities, with Minecraft:purpur block and Minecraft:end stone brick supports. Two chests can be found there, the more easily reachable being below a Minecraft:chorus plant, containing Minecraft:dark forest blocks.<ref group="note">Containing 6 Minecraft:cobblestone, 5 Minecraft:dark oak planks, 4 Minecraft:dark oak saplings, 4 Minecraft:grass blocks, a Minecraft:red carpet, a Minecraft:brown mushroom, a Minecraft:red mushroom, and a Minecraft:vindicator spawn egg.</ref> The purple powder chest can be found hidden below, identifiable by a Minecraft:purple stained glass block. Inside are the powder and dye, along with Minecraft:endermen and Minecraft:endermite spawn eggs.

The final powder, red, can be found underneath the starting platform, where a sign saying "something to do... Collect one of each color of any block" can be found. Behind the entirety of the experience is the logo for the convention. Behind the logo is an Minecraft:End portal missing a few Minecraft:eyes of ender.

2018

The planet begins similarly to 2017's, with a plains biome. Instead of an empty field, however, is a collection of Minecraft:rivers or Minecraft:lakes with a large house in the center. Before it are three Minecraft:villagers, a chicken, and a horse, with cow and pig spawners subtly integrated into scenery. Approaching the house, players can find a unique dark oak design with a hidden chest containing Minecraft:phantom spawn eggs, Minecraft:phantom membranes, and a purple Minecraft:bed, then climb up several Minecraft:wooden stairs up into two different entrances. Inside is a Minecraft:crafting table, Minecraft:furnace, a ladder up into a second floor, and Minecraft:stone brick stairs down into a basement. Climbing up to the top leads to a cramp cellar with no floors and two chests. The first contains the first wool, white, and second two cat spawn eggs, boarded up by a block of concrete.

The basement is more spacious, containing a small library with an enchanting table and several bookshelves. Below two of them are more chests, one containing a monster spawner, and the other the light gray. Beside the table is a birch door into a cramped room, with a white bed beside a bookshelf, a Minecraft:blue orchid in a Minecraft:flower pot, and stained glass window. Beside the stairs is a Minecraft:brewing stand, and beside it is a hole into a small tunnel made of Minecraft:stone bricks. Going past exposed dirt and iron ore, the player can find a monster room, leaking water. Inside the room are two chests and a double chest, the first containing four ladders and an Minecraft:enchanted golden apple, the second the purple wool and dye, and the third a wide variety of valuable items. These include Minecraft:golden apples, Minecraft:diamonds, a Minecraft:saddle, Minecraft:iron ingots, Minecraft:iron nuggets, Minecraft:dragon's breath, Minecraft:diamond horse armor, and 11.

Swimming into the hole in the wall will lead to the left side of the cube, a coral reef swarming with Minecraft:cod and Minecraft:drowned. Swimming counter clockwise leads to a drowned spawner surrounded by Minecraft:magma blocks and the blue wool chest. In the opposite direction is a conduit, with a chest full of Minecraft:prismarine bricks. Swimming farther will lead to soul sand, which propels entities up into a nook of a cave with a Minecraft:zombie spawner. Climbing up from there, the player can find a chest with the light blue wool, and exit through a waterfall behind the house. Above is the lime chest, hidden inside of a tree, with minor chests nearby hidden under a port and in a bush. The former contains Minecraft:turtle spawn eggs, Minecraft:turtle eggs, and Minecraft:scutes, the latter saplings. Crossing over a bridge to a farm at the back of the cube, the player can find a Nether biome, identifiable by netherrack arches. Maunuvering down, the player can find a chest for the orange wool. Traversing down the player will discover a Minecraft:Nether fortress.

Entering into the fortress, the player can find a zombified piglin spawner, and then a fork. One path will lead down a long hallway and appear to end at a dead end, but actually has an obscured higher level with a chest containing the magenta wool, protected by blazes. The opposing path leads to the opposite, a drop into a chamber containing as Minecraft:coral, Minecraft:pufferfish spawn eggs, Minecraft:nautilus shells, and a Minecraft:heart of the sea. A final chest can be found under the bridge leading into the structure, containing more aquatic items such as Minecraft:salmon spawn egg, Minecraft:sea pickles and Minecraft:seagrass.

A similar setup is present on the right side of the cube, set in both desert and Minecraft:badlands biomes. The badlands chest contains the green wool, identifiable by a nearby cactus. Two additional chests can be found in a river underneath, reachable by Template:Control, in a creeper face shaped mound. The first contains drowned spawn eggs, more nautilus shells, and another heart of the sea, while the other contains the yellow wool. A desert pyramid leads to another catacomb, which can be accessed through either a sideways door or a hole in the front side of the cube. The doorway can be flown through using elytra with enough precision.

If entered through the door, the player will discover a husk spawner, drop down into a hallway, and then drop down again to a Minecraft:spider spawner surrounded by Minecraft:cobwebs. At the end of the chamber is a chest containing cod spawn eggs, Minecraft:kelp, and seagrass. Hidden above the hole entrance is a fourth floor, containing the pink wool. The rest of the front side is an Minecraft:old growth spruce taiga, where the cyan wool can be found hidden behind a lake, identified by a Minecraft:pumpkin crop in front of it and stray spawner below it. Inside the tree beside it is the brown wool, while the red wool is hidden inside of a mountain covered in lava. However there does not appear to be a direct entrance, leaving it completely encased in Minecraft:stone.Template:Needs testing The black wool is even more obscured, being encased in sea lanterns close to the cyan wool.

The gray wool can be found inside of a rock on the top of the cube, reachable by swimming. The only satellite in the area is a downsized Minecraft:pillager outpost, with a Minecraft:pillager spawner inside. At the top is a chest containing illager centric items.<ref group="note">Containing Minecraft:crossbows, pillager spawn eggs, Minecraft:allays, Minecraft:foxes, and Minecraft:ravagers, as well as Minecraft:enchanted books with Minecraft:Piercing and Minecraft:Multishot.</ref>

Template:Missing information Unlike the preceding area, there are four cubes of moderate size, not in the shape of Earth. Instead, the highest cube has a large azalea on top, with a patch of moss underneath and a Minecraft:pale oak tree and a Minecraft:cherry tree. Also unlike the previous areas, the accompanying challenge is to locate Minecraft:deepslate ores. Digging down into it reveals a Minecraft:lush caves biome. Slightly above a Minecraft:spring is a skeleton spawner, to the right, a Minecraft:zombie spawner, and inside the water, a Minecraft:drowned spawner and an Minecraft:axolotl spawner. Beside the latter in the water is a chest.<ref group="note">Containing 192 Minecraft:calcite, 13 Minecraft:blocks of amethyst, 5 Minecraft:budding amethyst, 2 Minecraft:amethyst clusters, 2 Minecraft:glow ink sacs, an enchanted book with Minecraft:Silk Touch, and a Minecraft:goat spawn egg.</ref>

The second cube is made primarily of Minecraft:deepslate. Inside is a large Minecraft:dripstone cave, filled with Minecraft:evokers, creepers, and a Minecraft:zombie villager. Inside a small aquifer is a chest,<ref group="note">Containing a Minecraft:monster spawner, as well as Minecraft:spawn eggs for Minecraft:axolotls, Minecraft:endermen, and Minecraft:glow squid.</ref> and beside it is a spawner for Minecraft:glow squid. Hidden inside a wall is an evoker spawner. Deepslate copper, emerald, gold, and Minecraft:redstone ores can be found within the cave, with Minecraft:diamond ore on the bottom.

The third cube is a Minecraft:deep dark cube, covered in Minecraft:sculk with a Minecraft:sculk catalyst on top. Dropping onto the highest point of the cave, the player can land on a nook with a zombie, and a chest.<ref group="note">Containing 9 Minecraft:coal, 18 Minecraft:books, a Minecraft:disc fragment, the Minecraft:music disc otherside, enchanted Minecraft:iron leggings, and the Minecraft:ward armor trim. The leggings have Minecraft:Protection IV, Minecraft:Unbreaking III, Minecraft:Curse of Vanishing, and Minecraft:Mending.</ref> Dropping down, the player can find three Minecraft:sculk shriekers, one slightly below a chest.<ref group="note"> The chest has 25 Minecraft:coal, a Minecraft:Name Tag, two Minecraft:potions of Regeneration II, Minecraft:Swift Sneak, the Minecraft:music disc cat, and two pairs of Minecraft:diamond leggings. The first is enchanted with Minecraft:Fire Protection IV and Mending; the other is enchanted with Minecraft:Projectile Protection IV, Mending, and Curse of Vanishing.</ref> Another is slightly above a catalyst<ref group="note">Containing 15 Minecraft:coal, 4 Minecraft:candles, 3 Minecraft:glow berries, Swift Sneak I, and diamond leggings enchanted with Minecraft:protection IV, Minecraft:unbreaking III, and Minecraft:mending.</ref>, with another beside a catalyst.<ref group="note">Containing 19 Minecraft:coal, 7 books, 3 Minecraft:sculk sensors, 3 glow berries, Minecraft:diamond horse armor, a Minecraft:compass, and a Minecraft:diamond hoe. The hoe is enchanted with Unbreaking III and Minecraft:Efficiency V.</ref> Another chest can be found beside some Minecraft:deepslate redstone ore, stuck underneath a sculk block.<ref group="note">Containing 7 Minecraft:amethyst shards, 3 potions of Regeneration II, an Minecraft:enchanted book with Minecraft:Depth Strider II, an enchanted book with and Minecraft:Piercing II, Minecraft:music disc 13, and a name tag.</ref> Two additional chests can be found below, one beside a shrieker<ref group="note">Containing 12 coal, 6 Minecraft:bones, 3 Minecraft:sculk sensors, 2 disc fragments, and a Minecraft:potion of Regeneration II.</ref>, the other between a sculk sensor and a catalyst.<ref group="note">Containing 9 Minecraft:coal, 3 candles, 2 sculk catalysts, an enchanted book with Protection II and Minecraft:Smite II, music disc 13, and the ward armor trim.</ref> A hidden chest is hidden under a patch of sculk nearby,<ref group="note">Containing 19 Minecraft:echo shards, 10 Minecraft:coal, 10 Minecraft:soul torches, 9 disc fragments, 6 potions of Regeneration II, a Minecraft:bottle o' enchanting, an Minecraft:enchanted golden apple, a Minecraft:lead, and a Minecraft:warden spawn egg.</ref> Another chest is hidden above the rest of the area, in a heavily infested area.<ref group="note"> It contains 20 Minecraft:bones, 8 books, 5 glow berries, 4 candles, 3 disc fragments, 2 amethyst shards, 2 coal, and an enchanted book with Efficiency I.</ref> Deepslate copper, emerald, gold, and Minecraft:redstone ores can be found within the cave.

Another chest can be found in the corner of the deep dark cube, made of Minecraft:mud, beside a Minecraft:mangrove propagule.<ref group="note">Containing 190 Minecraft:mud, 64 Minecraft:mangrove logs 64 Minecraft:mangrove roots, 6 Minecraft:mangrove propagules, and Minecraft:spawn eggs for Minecraft:frogs and Minecraft:tadpoles.</ref>

The final cube resembles a Minecraft:trial chamber and has a hanging Minecraft:decorated pot like building underground it. Inside the cube, four Minecraft:trial spawners can been found (one of each of these mobs: Minecraft:breeze, Minecraft:bogged, Minecraft:husk and Minecraft:silverfish) with a chest in the middle containing trial Chamber themed items. Above the chest 4 Minecraft:vaults can been found. Inside the pot, the final chest can be found containing 4 different armor trims and 1 Minecraft:sniffer egg.
