Storage offers the ability to store items permanently in a secure location. Items dropped on the ground will disappear after a time, and can be picked up by other players.
There are four basic categories of storage.
Inventory Storage
Every character has access to a personal backpack storage. The capacity of this storage can be increased permanently by leveling up Endurance. Certain recipes and consumable items have the ability to temporarily increase Inventory Storage. Equipment can generate with treasure effects which increase Inventory Storage when equipped. Equipment can also be modified to have inventory-increasing pockets by crafting skills. Leveling up certain skills will also allow you to divide your inventory storage using Inventory Folders.
Temporary Methods of Increasing Inventory Storage.
Two generic treasures can be appear on equipment which grant bonuses to inventory if equipped. The first offers a +1 inventory bonus and can be found on equipment for all slots. The second is only found on Chest and Legs slot items, but offers between +2 inventory and +8 inventory depending on the level of the effect. This second treasure can also give gear the Roomy prefix.
Equipment designed for the Saddlebag slot can have a treasure which offers between +1 inventory and +4 inventory depending on the level of the effect.
The skills Shamanic Infusion and Toolcrafting each allow the crafting of belts which have increases to inventory slots as their default effect.
, an item sometimes acquired when completing quests, grants a bonus of +3 inventory slots for 60 minutes.
Words of Power can be obtained which temporarily increase inventory. The lowest potential increase is +10 inventory for 1 hour while the highest is +100 for 1 hour.
Equipment with unused Craft Points can be permanently improved to raise personal inventory (adding pockets). Blacksmithing allows pockets to be added to Metal and Organic armor, while pockets on Leather and Cloth armor are added by Tailoring. Established adventurers are known to commission full sets of "pocket gear" from others with high-level crafting skills.
Council Vault Storage
Hulon offers expandable storage through the Council Storage Machine system. Additional vault storage slots can be bought at increasing prices. Prices increase rapidly.
Slot 25 costs 900 Councils.
Slot 49 costs 8000 Councils.
Slot 62 costs 20,000 Councils.
Slot 63 costs 25,000 Councils.
Slots above 63 increase by 5,000 each time. Slots 81, the final slot, costs 115,000 Councils.
This storage is shared across and can be accessed from multiple zones.
In Rahu, A Council Storage Machine can be found in the peaceful part of town, under a balcony near a Meditation Pillar.
NPC Storage
Several NPCs offer personal storage that scales depending on your favor level with them. Sometimes, these NPCs have restrictions on the items they will let you store.
Once you unlock your first NPC Storage or Chest Storage in a zone, you will be able to access that storage both through other NPCs that offer storage in the zone, and at specific intractable items.
In Serbule, a bookshelf in the building next to Hulon's shop.
Usable chests can be found throughout the world. These chests are often discovered through exploration, raising favor with NPCs, or the completion of puzzles. An early example is a chest found on Anagoge.
Special storage systems can also be used under certain circumstances.
Account Storage - Transfer Chests
Transfer Chests allow storing and retrieving items between characters on the same server. Currently, four chests exist. They can be found in:
Players who have joined a guild may have access to Guild Storage chests. This access is dependent on their guild-rank and the access-rights set by the guild master.
- A box for storing up to 28 items. Lasts for 5 minutes once deployed.
Druid Storage
Druid storage is available as an unlock with Dreva's Blessings. This storage has no cost or cooldown, but can only be used 1 hour before or after a druid event. 12 and 20 slot storages are available.
Wardens have access to a special storage chest in the Sacred Grotto (also accessible from any Kur storage access point). The number of slots increases as the player gains favor with the NPCs in the Grotto. 132 storage is available at max favor.
Fae Pocket Dimension
Fairies learn to access special storage via the Fae (Race Skill) (10 slots at level 23 Fae (Race Skill), 20 slots at level 33, and 30 slots at level 47). This storage behaves similarly to a storage crate. Like most Fae (Race Skills), accessing the storage costs
Each Winter Holiday, adventurers of Alharth have the chance to donate items at a Shrine of Ri-Shin in southern Kur Mountains. If unlocked, this storage chest grants everyone in-game storage slots based on the shrine's level. The lower tier of storage is 25 slots, the higher tier is 50.
Once you learn the Vendor Fox in a Box ability, the ability requires you to have some type of crate in your inventory. Any crafted storage crate and most pet crates (when Animal Husbandry is released) will work to allow use of the ability. The crate will not be consumed. The cool down timer on the ability will reset in 2 real-time hours, but you still need to spend 2 hours in-game before you can use the ability again. (You can see that timer in your effects bar under the effect 'Boxed Fox'.)
Once you learn the Small Box of Space ability, there are no other requirements. Just use the ability to summon your storage box. The cool down timer for this ability is 90 minutes. The cool down timer on the ability will reset in 90 real-time minutes, but you still need to spend 90 in-game before you can use the ability again. (You can see that timer in your effects bar under the effect 'Spaced Out'.)
Cargo Suits
Through Tailoring, equipment with large amounts of inventory space but no treasure effects can be crafted. These Cargo Suits are intended for alt characters.
Dynamic Safebox
Dynamic Safebox are stationary, personal storage chests which have a variable number of 30-day slots. The number of slots in a Dynamic Safebox is increased by the actions of all players on a server. Slots can be purchased for Councils, Live Event Credits, or by participation in a community-oriented event.
Clicking on a magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the inventory window will allow you to use the isearch system without entering a command.
Practical Summoning
A technique for summoning items from nearby storage into inventory, this system becomes accessible once unlocked through the Teleportation skill. Items held in storage in the same zone as the crafter can be summoned directly to be used in crafting.
It is not possible to use Practical Summoning to retrieve items from Council Vault Storage or Guild Storage Chests.
Stow Items in Nearby Storages
Completing Wintria Irasce's quest Care Package from Rahu unlocks the Stow Items in Nearby Storages' button. Pressing this button will move items from your inventory into any nearby storage, provided there is at least one of that item in the storage already.
Talk to Durstin Tallow in the Tapestry Inn to unlock. This can be completed at [Neutral] for a cost of 100 councils to unlock permanently. Select "Can I rent a room?" from Durstin's dialog options (in the Talk menu). The storage locker can be accessed from the bookshelf in the inn, or directly in the nearby building.
A Storage Chest in the Old Town district gains storage space when nightly Povus town quests are completed. This chest has a maximum of 80 slots.
Each quest completed will reward you 1 experience, bonus or regular nights. Every 5 slots will increase the cost per slot. See Xptables/PovusStorage for the total costs.
