|The Old Kingdom | |||
|With the Edicts laid, Elidinis left Gielinor as she had said she would, trusting that the garou she called her children of the moon would thrive without her. | |||
Carrying the culture and craft she had taught them, the Moon Garou moved out of scattered settlements and into cities of their own making. The cities were vast and walled in stone, with tapestries strung above the streets to shade those who walked below from the sand. Libraries held the ancient words of the garou, and the year was marked by festivals of colour, light, food, and song. | |||
The hunt was set aside in favour of art, science, and magic, and later generations would remember the period as a golden age. The civilisation itself came to be called the Old Kingdom. | |||

The Time of the Elder Gods
| Event | Brief description |
|---|---|
| Current cycle of the universe begins | The Dragonwilds:Elder Gods shape the known universe after destroying the last one from the previous cycle, in an event known as Template:RSL. They eventually created Dragonwilds:Gielinor, their perfect world. Template:RSL, Template:RSL, and Template:RSL laid their eggs deep within it, so that the anima the world produced would feed them. Template:RSL had no egg to lay, having sacrificed hers to create the Template:RSL.
The Dragonkin, a race of winged, reptile-like creatures would survive the Great Revision by hiding in the Template:RSL. |
| Creation of Ashenfall | They noticed that some Dragonwilds:anima created would taste different, thus they turned a continent of the planet into a vent for these anima, which would create an event known as the Anima Twist. |
| The servitors of the Elder Gods | When the Elder Gods settled upon Gielinor, they brought the Template:RSL, servants of the Elders who were tools of the Template:RSL that helped forge the world. Some would be moved to Ashenfall in order to safeguard the Dragonwilds:Lens, A tool that was made to ensure the Sun's light would be in a perfect temperature for the world. The Time of the Dragonkin
| Event | Brief description |
|---|---|
| The Rise of the Dragonkin | After millennia of searching for a new suitable homeworld, the Dragonkin would land on Gielinor, and found Template:RSL (which translates to "first city") on what is now Template:RSL. The Dragonkin researched and documented the native flora and fauna of the world. |
| The Fall of the Dragonkin | A particular Dragonkin by the name of Template:RSL creates the Template:RSL, a device capable of converting normal anima into Template:RSL, which he claims can bring their society equal in power to that of the Elder Gods.
Without the approval of the other Dragonkin, Kerapac uses this dangerous device, transforming vast quantities of anima. This angers the Elder Gods and, in response, Jas would destroy Orthen and enslave the Dragonkin to the Template:RSL. |
| The Curse of the Stone | Bound to the Stone as its guardians, the Dragonkin were made to feel the pain of its misuse, and were driven to hunt down any who was not an Elder God that drew power from it.
The binding could not be undone, and the factions of Orthen each turned to a different means of escaping it. Kerapac's own Template:RSL answered with science and created the dragons, hoping for a line beyond Jas's reach. The Template:RSL chose instead to sleep, entering a shared dream to wait the curse out. The Template:RSL left their bodies behind altogether, projecting their consciousness into other forms. The Template:RSL gave themselves over to the curse and took up the hunt as their purpose. |
First & Second Age
| Event | Brief description |
|---|---|
| Dragonwilds:Guthix's Discovery of Ashenfall | After travelling through the cosmos, Guthix had found Gielinor and filled the world with new inhabitants. He also found several Template:RSL, tools used by the Elder Gods. He would discover Ashenfall and the unique properties of the continent with some of his followers, making a settlement in Dragonwilds:Brynmoor. |
| Creation of Dragonwilds:Runes | During Guthix's stay in Ashenfall, he discovered magical rocks, researching, and studying them to try to get them to harness the element of the world, thus creating the first runes after using the Stone of Jas for help. |
| Settlement Forming | Guthix would depart from Ashenfall, to spread his discovery to the rest of the inhabitants he brought with him. Those who followed him to Ashenfall would remain and start forming settlements. The first being Dragonwilds:Bramblemead Village, which was founded by Guthix when Ashenfall was discovered.
Some humans would form the Dragonwilds:Wild Knights, an order of skilled scouts who protect the people from the wild. |
| The Dragonwilds:Schism | As the humans grew to inhabit their new homes, several would change appearance, such as beards turning into leaves, skin glowing like fire, some even transforming to take qualities of elements, thus gaining elemental abilities, turning them into Dragonwilds:amalgamated humans. Some humans would see them as impure or imperfect, where they would treat the amalgamated humans differently, where the amalgamated humans would suffer persecution and even be murdered by those who feared them.
The Wild Knights and some other humans would attempt to protect the amalgamated humans, offering them refuges against those that hunted them down. |
| Veil over Ashenfall | Guthix would return to Ashenfall, where he would witness, in horror, the crimes some of his followers committed. He would take some of the humans with him to the mainland, those who did not join the rest in killing the amalgamated, and left those who murdered the amalgamated in Ashenfall. He would then appoint the Wild Knights to be protectors of Ashenfall, to protect the wilds from the settlers, and the settlers from the wild.
Guthix would attempt to hide Ashenfall from the rest of the world, placing a veil over the continent, in hope it would not be discovered. Guthix would then hide from the world and go into a deep sleep in hope he is forgotten. |
| The Dragonkin's arrival | Despite the veil being placed, a group of Dragonkin, known as the Dragonwilds:Cabal would discover Ashenfall and settle within the northern region of Ashenfall, where they would use the continent's anima to create a new settlement for themselves.
They would spread across Ashenfall, creating Vaults to commence different experiments. |
| The garou's arrival | The garou would arrive on Gielinor, led by their goddess Dragonwilds:Lougrim and settled within Ashenfall, within the Dragonwilds:Ghornfell region. They kept their tradition and settled in areas that were rich in resources. Dragonwilds:Brakka would enslave some of them at one point in order to create his tower. The humans would have an uneasy truce with them, but would grow envious of their goddess' appearance. |
| Dragonwilds:Gods arrival | On the mainland, a different continent, more gods would begin to arrive on Gielinor, causing minor conflict for land and followers.
Different gods would arrive and others would ascend within Gielinor, each one claiming a large amount of land and followers. The Template:RSL would be a major point in history, ending with the betrayal of the Template:RSL and the Template:RSL being victor. |
| Dragonwilds:Zamorak's usurpation | Late in the Second Age, the Template:RSL Zamorak turned on his master. Using two of the elder artefacts he betrayed Template:RSL and drained away enough of his power to ascend as a god in his own right, leaving Zaros presumed defeated and vanished into the void.
News of the usurpation spread across Gielinor, and it was that news which began the Template:RSL. |
Third Age
| Event | Brief description |
|---|---|
| The Template:RSL | Years after the defeat of Template:RSL by the hand of Dragonwilds:Zamorak, Zamorak returned from his departure to reclaim the Template:RSL
The mainland would be in a global conflict, with Zamorak fighting against Dragonwilds:Saradomin, Dragonwilds:Armadyl, and sometime Dragonwilds:Bandos. Other gods, and/or their followers participated in the war for claim of land or power, some allied themselves with each other. Civilians would flee the mainland in search for a new place to live in, not tainted by war. |
| Saradominist settlers | During the time of the God Wars, Saradominist missionaries would arrive to the continent in hope to escape the ongoing war on the mainland. They would be welcomed, and eventually start converting the Guthixians into worshipping Saradomin.
Sometime later the Dragonwilds:Runecrafting Guild was built to allow the Saradominist wizards a place of study and magical research. The Dragonwilds:Temple of Saradomin was later built as a house of worship. The Dragonwilds:Adventurer's Guild was formed to train new adventurers. The Dragonwilds:Bronze Advisors, an alliance between the Saradominists and Guthixians, would be formed to oversee equality between both religious beliefs. Some Dragonwilds:Zamorakians, who travelled with the Saradominists refugees in secret, would form the Dragonwilds:Children of Shadows. |
| Saradominist ruling | The Saradominists would attempt to become the bigger influence of Bramblemead, attempting to overthrow the Guthixian druids and push them elsewhere within the continent. Policies began to slip more and more in favour of the Saradominist approach as the Guthixian faith slowly dwindled.
The settlement of Bramblemead would start being ruled by a lord. The Dragonwilds:Keep of Blue Flames would be built for the lord to watch over the settlement. The Dragonwilds:Knights of Saradomin were formed as official police and army forces for Bramblemead. The Rasmodels would be exiled from Brynmoor, forcing them to travel further into the continent to make a home within Dragonwilds:Dowdun Reach. The Children of Shadow would follow along as their guards, later being reformed as the Dragonwilds:Black Knights. |
| Conflict with the garou | The humans would soon deplete all of the iron deposit within Bramblemead Valley and encroached into the northern regions in search of more iron. Some garou hunting parties would see this as disrespectful, and small skirmishes between the two took place.
After the death of their prince, the Human-garou War commenced. Leading mostly to a stalemate as the Dragonwilds:Whispering Swamp acted as a barrier between Brynmoor and the northern region. |
| Human-garou War | The humans were forced to make a deal with the goblins for the assistance of the Dragonwilds:Bandosians army, with Bandos himself arriving to oversee the war in attempt to face Lougrim, who he had history with.
The garou would be pushed back, forcing Lougrim to make a deal with the Dragonkin in order to tip the outcome to her favour. The Dragonkin would unleash their dragons to attack the humans and their Bandosian allies. Bandos would personally intervene and face Dragonwilds:Velgar. Despite nearly winning, Bandos would be bested due to his arrogance, forcing the God of War to retreat. The Human loss would allow Lougrim to show mercy, forcing an uneasy alliance between the humans and garou. Dragonwilds:Kuldra would be created later on thanks to Lougrim's blood. |
| Era of uneasy peace | After the conflict, some human settlers would move to Dragonwilds:Fellhollow, to get away from the conflict the garou and humans were still committing. They founded Emberwood village.
The ogres would arrive and live in harmony with the human settlers there. Dragonwilds:Imaru and Dragonwilds:Xikotal would be discovered by the settlers, but would be protected by the dragons, who assisted them in growing their crops and defending them from stray dragons. Within Dowdun Reach, the black knights would continue their rules, enslaving goblins and welcoming refugees, ensuring they work as well. |
| Dragonwilds:Dragon Rebellion | Years after Kuldra's creation, she assembled an army to overthrow the Dragonkin.
The Dragonkin would start dying out, leaving Kuldra to be titled Dragon Queen. Lougrim and Kuldra would later fight, causing the Dragonwilds:Fractured Plains to be formed in Ghornfell. Kuldra would ambush Lougrim and devour her. Kuldra becomes the High Queen, some of the garou reject her claim due to her victory being dishonourable. These factions would move to Dragonwilds:Umbral Sands. |
| Umbral Sands' discovery | The garou living here would struggle as they were not used to living within a sandy region.
They would discover Dragonwilds:Elidinis, who had arrived to the region at an unknown point in time. She began to teach the garou how to live in the region. She would be soon worshipped by them after learning she is associated with the moon by her followers on the mainland. Elidinis would later leave Gielinor. |
| Dragon Attack | After overthrowing their masters and devouring Lougrim, Kuldra would order her children and the dragons to attack the human settlements.
Imaru would be amongst the few to show mercy with Xikotal, forcing Kuldra to intervene. Xikotal would be killed, leaving Imaru and the humans in Emberwood to grieve. Velgar would lay waste to Brynmoor's settlement, ruling it and Dragonwilds:Ghornfell. Dragonwilds:Fuzan would rule over Dragonwilds:Umbral Sands, where he would terrorise the garou there. After hearing of the dragon's attack, the black knights would defend the keep against invading dragons. |
| Imaru's Curse | Imaru would seek Dragonwilds:Ravanna to revive her beloved, instead she is gifted with more power, a curse. Imaru would attempt to use this against Kuldra, only to be killed by the God-Eater.
Imaru would drink from the Template:RSL and claw her way out from death to continue her fight against Kuldra. Instead, she is corrupted and becomes hungry for souls. Due to the spreading rot and corruption of Imaru, inhabitants of Fellhollow would slowly turn into undead. Ravanna, unwilling to see the whole of Ashenfall and the greater world of Gielinor fall in Imaru's hunger, would split Imaru's curse into three fragments and seal the undead dragon in her tower. |
| Dreaming Stone | After hearing of Imaru's death, the Black Knights were ordered to spare any blue dragon, believing it could preserve balance.
The wither plague within Fellhollow would cause the knights to close and block the access that linked the two regions. Guards were stationed in the crypt and graveyard to ensure undead would not rise due to the plague. Eventually the Dreaming Stone, a crystal discovered by the knights, would start spreading whispers amongst them. Madness would start, and with the dreaming stone destroyed, it lingered for centuries. |
| Scorching Desert | Fuzan rules over Umbral Sands, attacking the garou there.
He would speak to an entity who claims she was a god off world, a queen and promised Fuzan power that could outshine even his mother. He accepts and begins to worship her. Fuzan learnt to better wield his flames, other flames and mark the souls of his victims to empower him and the goddess. Fuzan would take control of the KotHaar and the Lens, forcing the region to be an uninhabitable desert during the day. The Entity would gather followers amongst the garou, either transforming them or simply just having them worship the sun, or flames. Fuzan would continue to terrorise the garou in Umbral Sands for fun. |
| Destruction of Template:RSL | On the mainland, an alliance of Saradomin, Bandos, and Armadyl pushed Zamorak to the brink of defeat. In a last desperate ploy he used the Stone of Jas to set off a blast that wiped the region of Forinthry from the map, leaving behind the Template:RSL in its place.
Whole settlements of Template:RSL were reduced to ash in the same moment, among them Armadyl's own husband. The devastation was enough to wake Guthix from his slumber. |
| End of the God Wars | Guthix would awaken and end the gods' war using the Template:RSL to place a barrier around Gielinor, evicting the gods and ensuring none enters Gielinor, only the demigods and powerful beings would remain. |
Fourth & Fifth Age
| Event | Brief description |
|---|---|
| The Old Kingdom | With the Edicts laid, Elidinis left Gielinor as she had said she would, trusting that the garou she called her children of the moon would thrive without her.
| The Scorch | Fuzan set the KotHaar to lifting the Lens from its resting place and carrying it to a volcano, where it was turned against the purpose it had been made for. The KotHaar themselves were pulled away from the duty they had held since the Elder Gods left them to it.
With the Lens misaligned the sun burned too fiercely for the cities to endure, and the Old Kingdom was torn down. Later garou would be taught that the civilisation had simply been lost to time. |
| Guthix's death | Having come to believe that a world could only be safe once no gods remained to rule it, Guthix laid out the path to his own end and was slain by the Template:RSL Template:RSL.
His death brought the Fifth Age to a close and undid the barrier that had kept the gods from Gielinor. |
Sixth Age
| Event | Brief description |
|---|---|
| Return of the gods | With Guthix dead and his Edicts undone, the gods returned to Gielinor and the world fell into conflict once more.
Bandos came back to begin the sport of war again, and set about building a weapon capable of killing the other gods. Armadyl finished his own weapon first and used it to kill the god of war. Dragonwilds:Zanik had once served as Bandos's Chosen Commander against her will, and the affliction he left upon her soul claimed her life after his death. She was resurrected a second time by Template:RSL and returned to the surface to join the fight against the Elder Gods. Zamorak's return was driven back to Template:RSL by adventurers, who then recreated the Edicts so that he could not come again, leaving Gielinor once more in the hands of mortals. |
| The Doomed Expedition | With the reveal of Ashenfall after the turmoil on the mainland, an expedition was funded by many rich individuals to discover more about this mysterious land. This expedition would find the continent of Ashenfall to be ruled by dragons and many members of the expedition would die by dragon attacks.
Only the Dragonwilds:Wise Old Man, the leader of the expedition, Dragonwilds:Vannaka, Dragonwilds:Zanik, Dragonwilds:Doric, and a young adventurer called Dragonwilds:Cathan would be among the survivors of the attacks who'd wash up upon the shores of Ashenfall. |
| Discovery of Temple Woods | Traversing through the wilderness of Ashenfall, the remaining survivors would discover an old Saradominist church ravaged by time's decay. They would uncover an inactive lodestone in the church and, using supplies they uncovered in their travels, repaired the lodestone to contact the mainland. While waiting for reinforcements from the mainland, the young adventurer Dragonwilds:Cathan would leave the group to set off on his own to defeat the dragon overlords. |
